Robinson has lost us 5 points in the last two games. Tried to be clever last week looking for a third goal and completely and unnecessarily upset the defence this week bringing on an out of form Lennon. He is showing very poor decision making at the end of games and seriously begs the question "is he good enough?".
Extremely disappointed that we couldn’t hold out. After last weeks collapse I was certain we wouldn’t allow it to happen two weeks in a row. At least Bradford didn’t win which is the only positive I can think of.
I am convinced we will finish in the top 6 but we are going to make it even more difficult for ourselves and it will probably go down to the final match of the season.
It's ok saying what should have been in hindsight, but Personally, I think we should all get behind Karl Robinson and give him our full support for the final push - Off the cliffs of Dover!
All down to Robinson. He gave the initiative right back to Donny with his substitutions at the end. Especially the Da Silva/Lennon switch. It didn't need doing. We were handling them just fine. Why change something that has been working for 93 minutes. Unbelievably bad subs.
You could have said the same thing last week when he brought on Aribo and we looked like we'd score next. I wouldn't have brought off DaSilva, I'd probably have gone five at the back. Actually, I wouldn't have had Lennon in the squad, he's just not good enough. Maybe a loan away next year or something, but as things stand I'd move him on in the summer and bring Dijksteel into the squad for him on Tuesday.
This one feel like a real kick in the bollocks. We vastly outplayed them in the second half and their goal was their only chance. We actually defended well throughout. Bauer makes us much, much calmer at the back.
Should have been 2-3 up when we conceded. Substitution makes sense on paper to some extent, but again why not just go five at the back for a couple minutes. But ultimately, Robinson wasn't the one standing in front of the keeper five yards out of position playing everyone onside.
Yes, but it's about changing the momentum of the game at crucial times. Whatever had happened earlier in the game we were still 1-0 up and cruising. Da Silva had been having a stormer and bringing him off for Lennon was not a good move. Why change something that doesn't need fixing. Substitutions can affect the initiative of the game and that's what I think happened today. Robinson should be able to read better what's happening on the field. I think that's his weak spot especially at the back. I think he needs a good defensive minded coach working with him.
I agree. Actually, I think he needs really any other senior, experienced coach added to his set up. Right now I think we're desperately missing a tactician, and someone with some experience. We have two coaches, and one was on the pitch for the last ten minutes.
I actually think we have three coaches as Robinson is no manager. he's seems good with the youngsters and possibly can motivate players but that's about it. he should be second to a man who actually knows a bit more about the game.
I don't agree with that, I think a manager should be a coach first and foremost. I think that old set up of, let's call it the "Redknapp way" where you're there for transfers, hire a bunch of coaches to take training, and maybe occasionally turn up to training is outdated. Would Robinson benefit from going somewhere with a vastly experienced and skilled coach, preferably abroad? Absolutely. But I don't think his problem is that he's a coach.
what im trying to say is that there's nothing wrong with being a coach but if your in charge you need to be more than just that and i dont think he has it. yep being a coach first and foremost is a must but after that he hasn't got that much to give. he is let down by his tactics, his inability to change the team against different opposition, his lack of experience/understanding to read the game and change to counter act the opposition and some of his transfers have been disappointing or don't provide a different option.
last weeks game showed to me that on top of those things some of his coaching has to be questioned due to the goals we conceded (all cut backs) also not being able to see a game out. all things I think a better coach/manger should be able to do.
Someone I know claims to know Bowyer and says that he (Bowyer) and Jacko think that Robinson is a useless knob and largely ignore him. I’ve always thought that was BS but I’m beginning to wonder.

My favourite username on Charlton Life strikes again!
Shocking decision by Reeves, what was he thinking!! We slate Lennon (understandedly), but that miss or appalling decision whatever you want to call it cost us the win as much as the poor defending leading to their equaliser.
Random game of kick and hope garnished with many accidents. I could not identify one propper intentional build up from both teams. But we got players who should never be as clueless as they've looked today (and last week). Pointless blaming anyone for the goal, its how pathetically we move as a team, and yet our manager managed to look surprised at the end of this fiasco ...
I'm going to keep it short and not so sweet this week due to family commitments this evening. How we never got three points from this game I will never know. We out classed and out sung the opposition for 90 minutes yet same old same old, failed to press home our superiority and poor substitutions yet again was our undoing.
We took the lead from a corner in the first quarter through the BFG nodding home at the far stick and played some nice football with every player doing his bit but only went in 1-0 at the break.
Second half we seemed to start 4-5-1 with Reeves the lone front man to counter any surge from the home team which never materialised. As the second half wore on it seemed only a matter of time before our second goal and Reeves then Fosu who had rounded the keeper failed to convert.
Then as the game petered out and we had never looked troubled apart from one first half flowing move from Donny which was fired straight at Amos, three subs were made in quick succession, JJ for Reeves, Kaikai for Fosu and Lennon for Da Silva who had been superb. This seemed to unsettle us with Magennis dropping to LM and Fosu off there was no out ball and low and behold a last ditch attack with the ball up in the air and they score from our left back position on the edge of the six yard box.
Lennon was getting stick from some of the crowd on the way out but I didn't get a good enough view of what led to the goal. What I do know is that we never looked troubled until those subs were made and as far as I am concerned the management team need to put their hands up once again. Gutted is an understatement but this is Charlton and we do love to shoot ourselves in the foot .
Fuming. Was at the game that we controlled from start to finish. Should've killed them off long before they equalised.
I don't care what Robinson's excuse is going to be this week, disrupting your defence like that is asking for trouble. Dasilva had a great game and started a lot of our counter attacks, why take him off for Lennon? Guess what happened next? They attack down the left and equalise. Pointless, unnecessary substitution that cost us three points.
Likewise, taking Fosu off when they just couldn't handle him.
That's your fault Robinson.
5 points dropped this week while other results went our way. What a waste.
Left my hotel room in Madrid at 0-1, by the time I got in to the lift to go down 1 floor and before checking the score, said to Mrs Otto "I bet it's 1-1 now" and in true charlton fashion it was. Not a surprise to see Lennon at fault for the goal - absolute joke of a player.
We've managed to turn 6 points in to one in the last few minutes of the last 2 games. Laughable.
We sang our hearts out the whole game and probably only 3 or 4 players clapped us from the halfway line. Not a single player came over to us and even KR didnt stay and clap us. We were superb supporters today. Disgusting recognition back from the players who again let us down in last minute.
Genuine question - how many people are actually bothered by this?

Sorry for the ramble but it's a joke.
