I think you may be right & I agree it wasn't v Shrewsbury. I too would have been in that photo with my dad.McCartney said:Pretty sure it's against Swindon 22Sep74 yes I looked it up to make sure we scored a pen. Me and me Dad were one of the few braving the rain at the front.

In The Drapers Arms before the game today, this Rovers fan comes up and shows me this photo. He said it’s from around 62/63.. He wrote to Mike Bailey and Mike Bailey sent him back this signed by the players.
Henry, he said he’s got two more similar pictures, I’ve got his details so he’ll be happy for you to contact him about seeing those ones and maybe get copies of all three of them for the museum.6 -

Anyone got a photo of Charlton with two forwards?
Be a collectors item….1 -
Pah! That's not proper football, no players surrounded the referee trying to intimidate him out of the penalty decision.guinnessaddick said:0 -

Hmm, did we have white lines down the front of our shirts in those days, or has George Chilvers taken a bit of artistic licence?0

Also I believe at this time the main stand was green rather than red.0

We did have button up collars which showed the inner white liner, however they do seem to have been made longer.Off_it said:Hmm, did we have white lines down the front of our shirts in those days, or has George Chilvers taken a bit of artistic licence?0 -
No idea how this will come out but Lou Reed at The Valley would have been 746 -

can we have a season with a version of that kit5

I am pretty sure it is Jack Kennedy in that picture.
Here he is on the left of this pre-season photo in August 1965

Burridge and Kennedy look very alike - surely someone on here can put this to bed - I was born 1970, and arrived at my decision via ‘Home and Away with Charlton Athletic’ + ‘Valiant 500’ books - and I had to suffer going on a Palace website to get photo of Burridge - I’m yet to recover - pray for me 😳Six-a-bag-of-nuts said:I am pretty sure it is Jack Kennedy in that picture.
