If we'd signed him a couple of years ago from another club there's no way he'd be getting the same support. Half this forum (and admittedly seemingly our manager) have written Kirk off after about 6 games.
Personally i think we should try and get him a league 2 loan. A change of scenery, regular football and dropping down a level might be the boost he needs (same as going to Crawley did for Grant). Kind of a wake up call 'shit if i don't perform here, then i could be non-league in a couple of years'.0 -

Well well.... Hope for him yet. Much better, let's see him play like that for several games in a row please as that's a slice of humble pie I'd happily tuck into.3

An improvement, yes. And a goal! Goals tend to change narratives. Maybe he has more in him. Let's see.1

I'm usually in the bye bye albie camp. Although he didn't stand out as mom, he also wasnt shit. Not really sure what to do with him, play him or bin him?

He scored right at the death but don’t let that paper over how poor he actually was. Missed a one on one, doesn’t tackle , doesn’t really get involved or show for the ball. Not good enough8

Put on the post match, seeing as I usually put the boot into him, I try and be fair in my opinions so feel it’s relevant here……..Well, think we just edged it with the 2nd half performance. Genuinely pleased for Albie with his goal and obviously what it meant to him. he with the team improved as the game went on. Looked like the new coach afterwards was saying effectively look what happens when you get in the box!!. Green shoots for him as they say by improvements still to be made. But I don’t want to be negative in any way and piss on his chips tonight. Well done Albie.. credit when it’s due.pleased we can talk about a victory tonight…. However it comes.

He's fine.
Do we need better player in central midfield this month? I would say yes. Dobson needs some help.0 -

Certainly had a slow start to the game, left me feeling a little disappointed (once again) after the Cheltenham effort that he showed - Yet around 30mins he decided to join the game with a semi-decent pass to Clare (which won a corner), and then a semi-decent set piece which Inniss maybe could have scored from.
Have to wonder if Jackson spoke to him about HT about improving as came out a different player - Ended up putting in a Washington style performance... Felt the problem today was partly down to the fact that he almost played alongside Dobson, unfortunately he cant play that role, as shown in the opening minutes when he was easily out-muscled, forcing Famewo to give away a dangerous free kick.
Pushed forward into the Lee role though, and he certainly gives Elliott some competition - The way everyone went up to him at the FT whistle, makes me think he's the sort of idiot that reads fan opinions.
Said it after Cheltenham, and I'll say it again... Consistency Albie... Consistency... Build on this!!
Continues to show glimpses of what he can do (He setup his first effort on goal beautifully, and that really deserved to end up in the back of the net) - But he still goes missing at times, which will hold him back.3 -
I'm very happy for him. But he has had a lot of false dawns before. He needs to turn that corner once and for all.1

Gone on Albie, show us all what you can do.
Pressed really well today at both ends of the pitch.
Got the goal he deserved having missed the easier chance he created just before.
Good to see Skiverton making a point of speaking to him after the game about that goal.
And what was that weird thing he did at corners?
Somehow he lifted the ball over and passed the first defender at corners. It could catch on.11 -

Good on him. Consistency has always been the issue - yes he has been given a run of games, etc. He's playing in a position very well suited to him and needs to keep going.0

It’s always been overblown, how bad Albie is/has been. It’s also sometimes been a bit overhyped how good he is/can be. One swallow doesn’t make a summer and all that, but I thought he had a pretty decent game. Struggled a bit in the first 30 mins but the entire team did, excluding CBT. As the team got on top he came to the fore a bit. Worked hard, played some nice passes, got into goalscoring positions, and set pieces were consistent and good.To me, he’s had a touch of the Karlan Grant’s about him in the last couple of seasons. A young player with lots of potential who looked good initially but was maybe overused at times and given responsibility he wasn’t quite ready for. I don’t think he’s ever hid but he has looked short on confidence at times. Thought a bit of the old Morgan, the one considered good enough to start a playoff semi final 3 years ago, was visible today. Can he kick on and build on it, who knows, but it was good to see because I hope none of us want to see him fail.7

Deserves an opportunity to the end of the season, but he still plays like a youth player. Really want him to do well, but not convinced.Got 5 months to ensure you’ve got a professional contract. Make the most of it.0

Thought he played well today did a great tackle first half, kept involved and took a good goal at the end to kill the game off. First time I thought when the subs were coming on, that he deserved to be spared being hoiked off.0
-
Really pleased for him and i hope it gives him the boost he needs to put a run of performances together. Still not convinced he'll ever do it consistently but it might actually be worth giving him a couple of games in the Lee role, as i really think he needs to be dropped/rested for a game or 2.1

Corners and free kicks were spot on.
If he had scored his first it would have been one hell of a goal.
Took his second chance well.
Fair play to him, still not convinced he offers enough but very much hope that goal gives him the confidence to kick on.0 -

Always worth remembering that this lad who has been here for what seems forever, is just 21 years old.11

Serious question: Do we have a better crosser of the ball than Albie Morgan? Y/N3
-
Can't play him and Lee together IMO....on recent form he deserves to start over Lee8
-
Mixed bag for me
Great goal - really happy for him. When the back 3 have the ball he needs to find space and show for the ball not stand still.Needs to be more mobile to get back and defend when we lose the ball, seemed to get left behind a bit when chasing back early on.Was great to have delivery to the back stick for the Innes header for the goal0 -
Not been Albie’s biggest fan of late but credit when it’s due, he had a good all round game today. If he can bring consistency into his game, have a few more games like to today maybe he does have a future with us. A long way to go though before he convinces me & a lot of us,I suspect, but a good start today. At least a solid 7.1
