Genuinely think players have lost the ability to play test cricket. Most have given their wicket away and the one still out there is treating it like a 20:20

    Agree, but wrong thread boss.

I'd take Sam Surridge if Bournemouth are looking to loan him out to a division higher than where he has been so far this season. 12 in 20

Can't take any more. I'm off to the cinema to see Vice. Phone off.

Have texted GM about Notts County, but fairly sure I won't hear anything back in he *is* involved. Trouble is, I might not hear anything back if he isn't, either.

I've got to be the worst 'ITK' on t' internet.

Are the Australians buying Notts County as well as us?

They’re just buying clubs left, right and centre without a care in the world. They just don’t stop do they....

Probably playing Charlton at their own game. Bluffing that they’re willing to look at other options.
Like ldt trying to suggest we were rushing another party to buy us

They have said they don't want to loan him out full stop.

Ade Akinfenwa was in the chip shop in the village lunchtime, when the bloke serving said 'sorry Ade, been told to ration you to 14' I knew he'd be signing this evening.

Why is it that other clubs won't let a player go until the replacement has signed, but we just wave Karlan off then start looking around hopefully?

    Like Sunderland and Maja?
    Exactly.

I keep saying this, yes Roland is useless and we all want him gone, but you cant blame him for every little detail.

Whoever our owner was would have sold Grant and more than likely before a replacement was brought it as the offer was there, they cant wait incase he got injured or Huddersfield found another target.

People who wait for replacements are usually loans not permanent deals.
I can blame Roland for not having a proper CEO in position and allowing about 8 players contracts to be running out this summer.
Had Grants contract not been about to expire we could of either kept him or sold him for more money
Thirteen first-team players, plus four loans.

    Young players

Joe Aribo, Good player, valuable asset, should've been tied down.
Tariqe Fosu Good player, valuable asset, should've been tied down.
    Reeco Hackett-Fairchild Young player, unproven
George Lapslie Young player, unproven before this season
Dillion Phillips (24 in June) Young player, unproven before this season

    Senior players

Nicky Ajose Not wanted at club
Patrick Bauer Refused to sign new deal agitating for move that never happened. Doubtful he'll resign unless we get promoted.
Billy Clarke Badly injured, possibly not rated by Bowyer, higher earner.
Jake Foster-Caskey Badly injured, although very likley wanted and probably should've been tied down before his injury.
Mark Marshall Getting on, struggled to make an impact, higher earner, always likely to released.
Ben Reeves Struggled to make an impact, higher earner, jury was out at start of season.
Igor Vetokele Always injured, big wages, always likely to released.

    New short-term deal

Jonny Williams Only signed in January.

To be fair, only a handful of those should clearly have been on new deals before the start of the season, for a number of them it is as much in the club's favour to potentially be able to release them at no cost in the summer. Tying players down on long contracts is great when everything goes according to plan, but as we've seen many times since getting relegated from the PL, you can quickly get lumbered with a lot of deadwood you can't shift off the wage bill, which in turn can seriously hamper efforst to bring new player in.

Jonathan Leko of West Brom mentioned by ‘Vital Charton’ on Twitter.
Have no idea if that adds up to anything. Probably not.

(He’s 19 and an England U16, 17, 18 & 19 international, but has only played a handful of games for West Brom. He was sent back from his loan spell with Bristol City after 11 appearances.)

Jonathan Leko mentioned by some small time journalist type on twitter who covers West Brom and the West Midlands, said likely if they get a winger in, and they’ve just confirmed Sterling from Tottenham having medical, so this could be the genuine rumour we’ve been waiting for.

Not exactly prolific so far in his career this Leko chap, very young but played for England at most youth levels.

Same journalist saying he’s similar to grant and can also play wide.

Similar in what way? Plays football? Because that is where the similarities end. Grant scored goals. I find it hard to believe that this is the deal that has taken Bows and Gals all month to bring together.

This hits home the kissing goodbye to our season if we don’t at least match this sort of signing!
