Early wickets crucial tomorrow otherwise this could well be over before lunch
I would be staggered if either side won. I'd suggest it's an 0.5% chance of a win for us and a 0.1% chance of a Hants win!
    You’re probably right !

in other news , saw online that Darren Stevens might go out onloan for the t20 game? Surely wouldn’t be worth doing in the sort of form he is in at the moment ? Would be mad too ! Have to say though our side is looking very strong this year !
Denly (although likely to be away)
    DBD
    Crawley
    Kuhn
    Blake
    Nabi
    Robbo/Rouse
    Stewart/Stevo
    Viljoen
    Milne
    Milnes/Qayyum/Podmore

What we've lacked for a long time is someone explosive at the top of the order, a Roy or Finch type. I'd probably open with Crawley as he's a powerful striker

yes decent side but taking Denley away makes a big dent, both in batting and as bowling option. Can't see why anyone might think Rouse is a better bet than Robbo atm. Incidentally is there any chance of Billings being ready at all?

Super Joe gets the first wicket of the day.

    Hants now 185-3, effectively 39-3.

There's about 70 overs left in the day, taking into account a potential change of innings.

Come on lads, we can still win this!

    And there's another one!

Raynor gets this one, Hants 186-4 (40-4) with two new batsmen at the crease.

A few wickets for Joe today would be a nice nudge to the England selectors too. Having the option of a few overs of spin from Joe would be handy for England

Don't want to chase too many if it's started turning.

Blake is on as a concussion substitute for Kuhn.

If it came to it would he be allowed to bat anyone know?

I think he would be able to, a concussion sub is unique in that respect

Only 24 overs left, so realistically we'd have a maximum of 20 overs to chase down around 150

    No chance!

You're probably right but if Blake is allowed to bat and gets going....
  • Do we open with Denly and Blake if we knock them over in the next two overs haha?

Will Kent play it like a T20 game or just bat it out to the end?
