The lack of noise in regards to incoming transfers is absolutely frightening. Even if we keep Taylor, we don’t sign anyone then we are in all sorts of shit
I'm fairly confident Taylor will be in a Charlton shirt Saturday.
I so want you to be correct. Doesn't bare thinking about otherwise.
Richard Murray or someone needs to get it into RD's thick skull that selling Lyle could be the stupidest thing that even he could do for his own self interest.
I do wonder if this whole Lyle thing has just been started so that we feel relieved if he stays and don't make too much noise about the promised additions not arising. in the meantime I'm going back to sticking pins in my RD doll - that's if I can fit in anymore.
Laughably similar to most closing transfer windows under The Douche.
The number of you hanging onto any hope need your bumps feeling.
We will be made to feel grateful Taylor is still with us as Boro get AD for a steal with no sell on, after losing a top squad player early in the window (huh! they forgot that one) AND we just could not get our intended loans over the line BUT here is one Johnnie plucked from mid air that no-one saw coming just to placate whoever remains bothered... have i missed anything from the script?
Seriously, the guys been offered 10x his salary, he can't wait to leave. He originally wanted to play one season for us in the champ. Nobody expected Boro to come in for him so early offering silly money!

See I dont get one thing... Sure he has been offered more but why would anyone be offered 10x a salary. Its not like a person would turn down 3x or 4 x ..... so why slap 10 x on the table?
If i was offering someone a role who was currently on £50k.... you go in as low as you can in order to get them. 10 x is just not necessary.
So according to Sky the club have turned down a bid for Taylor as has been reported on all social media. Now call me skeptical (sp), but I have a couple of theories about this-: 1) Taylor was never going to be sold, but by the club saying a bid has been rejected it shows RD in a 'good' light that he has held onto one of our best players and he gets some kind of kudos! 2) Taylor is up for sale, first bid rejected, 2nd or 3rd bid accepted out comes the "We did all we could to hold onto him, but he wanted to go as it was a massive pay rise for him, and we couldn't match their offer" 3) As number 1, but add "We did all we could to get 5 players over the line, didn't quite get it done in time, but hey we've still got Lyle" 4) All a smokescreen to deflect from AD leaving for Boro 5) As number 2, but "deal didn't go through until late and it didn't allow us enough time to get any replacements in; but RD has promised we can have the funds in January to strengthen IF we are pushing for promotion"
There is only one place where a peaceful mass protest of Charlton fans would have any effect.
Exactly. It's his manor, and he needs his routine, which includes lunch at Stayen pretty much every day.
That said, he employs a lot of the 30k citizens, and has a good (but not invincible) relationship with local plod.
Another mass protest is worth doing and do-able, but we should also think about other ways to embarrass him in front of those whose admiration he craves.
I really admire the Led by Donkeys poster campaign but thus far we didn't get sensible quotes for posters over there. I would love to know how, and for how much the Donkeys guys got that big poster in Brussels for the very moment of Theresa May's visit.

Roland...
I can only say that every conversation i have had with Dijksteel,s family that he was very happy with Charlton.
That said it is just as easy to get to Middlesbrough from IJmuiden as it is Charlton.
His family will follow his career no matter which club he plays for.
If i was a betting man i would say Dijksteel would only leave Charlton if Roland pushed him out .
Good luck Anfernee whatever happens.
But if you were a young man would you want to live in Middlesbrough after having lived in London ?.
What would you choose ?

In the game of maximising a bid now?

FFS, miss the deadline, player has to stay. Job done.
You have just received a promote
