Not sure how to take Taylor's 'leave me alone' post.
Admittedly i get that he doesn't have to say anything but he's usually very active on social media and he could just come out and say he's not leaving.2 -

has he said “leave me alone” in the last couple of days or so ?
Edit:Just read on Taylor thread his cryptic message0 -
Could he leave me alone - as in other clubs because I’m happy
or leave me alone as in fans constantly asking him.
As I said for a man who is usually outspoken ( has a personality ) it’s strange for him not to comment - that added to the contract gif a few weeks ago all makes it very strange.
We may of turned down a bid but all that means is 48hours to improve bids remeber djiksteel was not for sale, still nothing on the os - laughable at best
dont mind him going IF the money was given to lee but it’s not so Roland can as per usual get fucked0 -
Just woke up, did I miss anything?1

That cheeky scamp who put out a story about seeing Lyle at Waterloo train station? It was all a rous, Lyle was only taking his cat to the dentist.
Stand down, as you were.
A nice calm day, a nice calm day, a nice calm day.0 -

oohaahmortimer said:Do fans actually believe that Bowyer is managing us for pure love of Charlton , if Brighton, Palace or Millwall come knocking and offered him a job for 3 years would heturn it down?
of course he wouldn’t, he’s in the job cos it suits him at this moment in time not because he has some unconditional love of us .
Just like any player who will move on if something suits them , it may be money, location , whatever but make no mistake we are gonna be on the bottom rung of the money payers while the Helmet is pulling the purse strings .
Anyone who returns to us loves the club and sees life/football isn't only about money (Bowyer, Purrington, Williams etc).
Anyone who moves on to better things is a greedy snake, only cares about money and wasn't that good anyway.11 - Sponsored links:

All those slagging off Dijksteel... He's steadily improved since he broke into the team and will continue to do so. He's a good signing for any championship club.25

Anyone anyone who has a heart, you know that I’ll love you.....0

If they get a £3M bid rejected they can just offer £4-5M Thursday and get him. They have actual cash to buy him several times over. No way they do not get this one over the line with our shit owner, if they want. Lee thinks "Taylor gets 20 goals this season." Twenty goals for Brentford takes an already good team to the Premier League, imho. They could pay £10m and he would be a bargain if the payoff is £150M in TV revenue next year. So shelling out £4-5M is hilariously easy for them. And wise.
Yeah, offer cash upfront and Roland will bite their hand off.0 -
Lyle Taylor - if you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me.
And I'll be ca-wying over you.0 -
We know that Taylor seems to love it here but there must be a battle of heart vs head.
If he was to stay and sign a new contract, surely it wouldn’t be a much as he would get at Brentford (yes, Brentford)3 -

Bauer - you were an average league 1 defender before Bowyer came in No he wasn't, he was already one of our better defenders, even in the championship he was decent.
Bielik - no one heard of you before you came to us and Bowyer took you under his wing - turned you into a CDM too That's the way with young players. Bielik was already good but regular playing helped him develop his game.
Cullen - enjoy sitting on the West Ham bench then get loaned out to another team where the manager doesn’t get you or make you better. No one really heard of you until Bowyer guided you
That's the way with young players. Cullen was already good but regular playing helped him develop his game, he will get game time otherwise he'd have left and his manager will have assured him as such.
Dijksteel - you’d still be a bench warmer if it wasnt for Bowyer
No, he wouldn't. Solly isn't quick enough for Bow's formation and Dijksteel was at an age to step up and develop.
Aribo - huge talent but you had no direction until Bowyer
Really? That's just youth breaking into the first team. They generally develop the more they play.
Grant - you were a lost soul before Bowyer
No. He had already started to change attitude at Crawley. His partnership with Lyle bought him a dream move.
Lyle - love ya. But you’d still be bumming around in league 1 if it weren’t for Bowyer. As for cryptic tweets saying “leave me alone”. Fuck you and don't get above yourself. The fans treat you like a god. You've helped unite the club. Kids adore you. We’ve spent money getting your name on our shirts. We’ve queued up with our kids to meet you. We've waited hours after games with our kids to see you. We’ve stood shoulder to shoulder with you when you were getting your head kicked by Accy. We’ve sung your praises when you’ve spoke out against racism or made old ladies dreams come true. So, we’re really sorry that we just want to hear from you, after all its not often you keep quiet.
I’m aware that careers are short/got no money/loans are in the hands of the parent club/agents yada yada...
What I’m trying to say is isn't it about time Bowyer was shown some fucking respect by some of these players. Yeah, the owners a prick, but they all new that before they signed. What about if they thought “Gaffer, I owe you. You got us into the Championship. I’ll sign a new deal, but lets see how this season goes and we’ll talk next summer”. Maybe a few of these players can learn from the old pro’s such as Williams and Pearcey who've been there and done that and know when they're onto a good thing. Any way, I’ll take my rose tinted glasses off now.

I think even Bowyer knows we ain’t getting 4/5 in it’s just him making another sly example of Dickelet. Reckon we’ll get 2/3, Harriott, a shit forward in the Bonne calibre and a right back.2

the other side (sorry to get all Napa here) is to look at it coldly, which is more likely what Roland will do. If you increase his contract by 10k a week that’s an additional £1.5m on your costs over the next 3 years. If you can sell that player for £5m and have confidence you can equivalent replace with a potential fee and wages package of £3m over the next 3 years, you are £2m quids in against a situation where your costs would have increased.5 - Sponsored links:

RD wont spend even half the transfer fee on a replacement & therefore you will be picking up a lesser player.
Ergo, a lesser player will not be as good & wont score the goals = relegation.

Just seen Lyle hot-footing it on a Boris Bike in westly direction. Take from that what you will.4

the people getting annoyed with taylor not saying anything - i get it hes quite clearly adored by all at the club and before us was not really known was 27 playing in league 1 he probably has 3/4 years left of playing football and id be happy if they were with us.
he is a player that speaks out - a lot, the cryptic messages are annoying for all fans.0 -

Genuinely can’t believe people think footballers shouldn’t move to double their wages when I bet there’s not a plumber, builder, accountant, shop worker etc on this thread that wouldn’t do that same in heartbeat even if they like their current boss, Jonny Williams is a freak (in a good way), a diamond in the rough and he should be saluted but that doesn’t mean the others get slated.15
-
I don't blame any player for wanting to leave our club while RD is the owner - he has no interest in them and is angling to sell them once an offer comes along.

Certainly L1 wages being doubled or more (especially at the back end of a footballer’s career) would be life changing and very difficult to turn down.
I’d argue that a top end player at the end of a year 4 year 250k pw salary would not have same life changing effect if moving to double their pay.
The same probably applies to accountants

So what time does all the fun kick off today then?0

I think that the fact that he persuaded his mate to come from Wimbledon and probably had an influence on Williams coming back to us is a massive plus point .
I hope he doesn’t have a parasitic agent ( I know , they all are !) who tells him to go to Middlesbrough for the money .
I just hope a more attractive club than Brentford or Middlesbrough doesn’t come in last minute as that could make him change his mind .0
