Got quite annoyed with Lawrie Wilson away to Watford (0-5). He basically didn't try at all.
But as frustration goes, the away to WBA cup game mentioned by Annakissed is right up there. Nothing was going right for us that season and that game summed it all up. The FA Cup was as big as it got and I really thought we might be on a good run, despite our terrible league form.
Agree with many others, including @SoundAsa£ Coventry one. I was a little kid and could not believe what I was watching. Cynical was the word, chillingly so, but I didn't know the word then.
I give you Chelsea at home, first game of the season, Ranieri's reign. Konch started in midfield and looked good. In the 26th minute, with his eye on the ball all the time he challenged for a high ball in midfield. The ref sent him off for an 'elbow'. The ref was the sidekick of Graham Poll, the one who made some video with Poll dubbing themselves the 'hard man referees'. Tells you all you need to know. I was so pissed off I managed to get on to 606 to rant about it. The thing is that I think it got to Konch. he of course got a three match ban and lost confidence in his ability to play in that role, which was a pity, I thought it was a good idea from Curbs, who never quite trusted him at left back.
We were 1-0 up as well werent we that day?
Sending off allowed Chelsea back into it which they won 2-1 (?)

To add to the frustration Rich, footage of the game was on the MOTD opening titles for years afterwards, would have been called off today but things were different then.
Almost laughable more than anger-inducing was the game against Swindon: table-topping Charlton going for a record number of successive victories against the team rock-bottom yet Deano managed to place an innocuous cross into his own net and we simply failed to score. And diminutive Willie Carson taking the piss at half-time!
Yep, he was awarded a cheque from us on behalf of Swindon at half-time and said, 'Thanks for the cheque... and the three points!'
Millwall away, 2-0 up with four minutes to go. Drew 2-2.
Was standing on the halfway line and when the final whistle blew - an Addick was just sitting down on the terrace crying! Believe me, I felt his pain.
That corner was packed that night, I went on my own as a 13 yo, soon met up with faces I recognised and had a great time.
I just remembered not having a clue where I was going and just following crowds until I see a bus I recognised, 53, got on that home, didnt even tell me mum I went.
I do get angry at cup defeats and losses to our nearest and dearest but I'm almost resigned to the fact we will lose them. It's usually an exception when we don't put in a gutless performance these games
Alan McCormack tweeting about being in the OXO Tower after one of the worst performances in memory. Can't remember disliking a Charlton player as much as that before then.

Yep. Their winner in just about the last minute, scored by Carlton effing Cole :-(
Also remember being angry at that bloody beach we had to play on at Stamford Bridge... Still of the opinion that if it were any team outside of the top six then that game wouldnt have been allowed!!
Not to mention the year they won the Premier League and got that bloody penalty that wasnt; instead of saying how it wasnt a penalty the commentators were beating one out saying how it wasnt a day about Charlton in the first place - Piss off, a win for us would have put us in the top ten that season!!
Only time I've lost my mind was Chelsea away, last minute pen on final day of the season the first time they won it under Mourinho. Foul outside box, pen saved then scuffed in on rebound, cameraman celebrating on the pitch with players. It was a strange reaction because the was nothing riding on it, but we'd played so well away at the champions and the injustice drove me mad. I was ranting like a lunatic amongst the home fans in the east stand. I stormed off and carried on ranting in the street until I was eventually attacked by a Chelsea fan, at which point I stopped.
Getting spanked 4-0 at the scum then not being let out for an hour.
More recently, this seasons Peterborough game. A mixture of their fat slob of a manager and the worst refereeing performance I've seen in pro football.
I think the main ones for me have been said. The Fulham throw in sticks out most probably. For my dad it would be the van Persie one because he still brings it up regularly now, often without any context. I think he wakes up thinking about it sometimes. I was also devastated by the Friedel equaliser, but it resolved itself by a) us winning and b) the winner being a lob that Friedel absolutely should have saved.
A more personal one, that Northwich Victoria one was a tough watch. I remember Bailey being awful, McLeod somehow being worse than usual which shouldn't be possibly, and Jonjo (I think) being very lucky not to be sent off. It was bad enough as it was, but the instant they scored I got a text from a Southampton supporting mate just saying 'lol'. I did not appreciate that. No I did not.
Chelsea are always a bugbear for me. My mum is a big Chelsea fan and she's very nice. They've done the dirty over us many times (the beach, the nonsense Makelele penalty off a Lampard dive which he missed and still managed to bobble in a goal over Andersen, the Scott Parker affair), but the one that annoys me most was the penalty shootout win. I was all ready to be happy that we'd won a tough match, but she was absolutely devastated, while being really nice about it. Really ruined it for me. Add to that Mourinho still claiming undefeated status like that result didn't count and I don't look back on that match as fondly as I should.
Not angry, but an over emotional reaction. During or losing streak in 98/99 I was on a weekend away with a load of friends in a big old house. All was well, we'd been to the pub all afternoon and I was trying to find out the scores. We'd lost to someone like Blackburn and it just broke me. When we went back to the house I just lay on my bed and wouldn't come down or socialise or even eat. Bear in mind I was 28 at the time, not a kid. People were worried about what had happened to me and I was too embarrassed to admit that it was a football result.
Think all
three have been mentioned but probably the cup match v Sheff U, the 2-2 with
Fulham and then the Northwich Victoria loss in that order. I liked Harriott but
I will never ever forgive him for that miss about 5 mins before Sheff U scored
both their goals. I just found the performance that day sickening against a
side a division lower than us in such a huge game. Fulham game was my first
ever memory of a Charlton match being 6 at the time, was sat right in front of
the linesman that day and have never seen a worse decision since, how could he
of got it so badly wrong. I really always wonder what would have happened had
we have won that day, was such a big game with it being Pardew’s first and had
we have stayed up that season having won that game, how much longer we would’ve
been in the prem for. The Northwich Victoria game I'll never forget, it wasn't
even a smash and grab we were absolutely battered the whole match and Randolph
saved us from even more humiliation. The players just showed a complete lack of
care and interest that day.
More recently, the 2-2 draw with MK last season
really wound me up with their stoppage time penalty that was never a foul after
we just took the lead in the 87th minute. Felt like that was horribly snatched
away from us. Also the majority of Millwall matches, the 0-1 and 0-2 losses in about
2013 and 2014 especially. Just didn't seem to care as much which I can't stand.
Actually, add another one: The 0-0 draw against Bolton under Riga. We desperately needed to win to stand any chance of staying up, we were up against possibly the only team worse than us, and the match was just pathetic. We set up weirdly defensively, didn't make any changes until far too late and had two shots on target all game in a match we absolutely had to win. I know we didn't exactly have a lot of options but one of the players he brought on was Bergdich for Christ's sake. That really ended the Riga affection for me. That and the 0-0 against MK Dons (one shot on target) in March that also should have been an easy result if the players had just turned up. That match ended with Yaya Sanogo elbowing one of their players in the head, putting all of us out of the misery of having Yaya Sanogo on the pitch.

I was with my Millwall mate on the half way line. I still recall him saying "ok I'll give you that one. Shall we head towards the exit" ? Oh the deep joy of having actually beaten Millwall for once.
We walked for about 20 seconds and they scored. We walked as far as that walkway between the half way line and CBL and they scored again. Gutted wasn't the word.
Away Crystal Palace, Boxing Day 1984. This was some time ago so my memory might be a bit rusty Tony Lange was injured and we didn’t even get a free kick. Steve Gritt goes in goal to replace him. A long ball (surprise surprise) is launched in to the Charlton box. Steve Gritt, the whole Charlton defence, 3000 away fans all expect it to bounce nicely into Steve Gritt’s hands but it just stops dead in a puddle of mud and palace player who is obviously used to playing in puddles of mud strolls up and blasts the ball home.
Van Persie's immunity from punishment for the mancs, but in mitigation he did kick Van Fattywank up in the air... The shameless giving up against Leeds. Similar giving up against Sheff U in the ponse's last game as manager Several performances under Karel Fraeye - he was certainly not the man for the job but very few of the selected players tried a leg. Curbs lining up with an ultra defensive 4-5-1 at home against lower league Leicester in a cup match and effectively throwing the game, aggravated by his bare faced bullshit about "going for it with a 4-3-3" don't piss in my face and tell me it's raining. Curbs attributing the 2011 league winning season to "the owners" without a damn syllable for the manager or players, charmless nerk. Most things perpetrated by the rat and his lickspittles starting with the odious lies about the disposal of Yann Kermorgant and all the downhill witsheaselry since. Contemptible snotgobbling scum-monkey.
Palace away. Just after the introduction of no passing back to the goalie. Pitcher tries to clear the ball up field, slices the ball, it flies upwards and backwards to the goalie. Palace score from the free kick.

Mike Reilly.
Deffo not him. Think the name is Barber. I can look it up when I get home. Wasn't a a one off . One the worst " look at me" refs.
This is a brilliant thread by the way, for sheer anger as opposed to feeling shit it has to be the capitulation at millwall under Parkinson. Add to being trapped in the fucking place for an hour afterwards I exhausted myself with hiw angry I got
Since shitarse and his acolytes have been involved I have been constantly angry to the point I'm sadly numb to how good a season Bowyer has gotten out of the side.

Chelsea Aug 02 ref was Graham Barber. Scandalous decision.
Coventry Feb 67 was outrageous. Jimmy Hill a total hypocrite.
Millwall Jan 17 diabolical decision by Keith Stroud to disallow BFG goal.
Fulham Dec 06 throw-in infuriating.
A number of match postponements over the years the cause of much anger.
Pitcher tries to clear the ball up field, slices the ball, it flies upwards and backwards to the goalie.

I was certain it was Reilly.
