    The Palace 1861 claim has no basis in fact or history, to claim it on a kit is verging on a corporate lie. 

    There are no genuine historians in existence that give the ludicrous suggestion any credibility

    The claims were ridiculed by respected football historians and even rejected by the FA. Astonished they've gone this far with it. 
    Just yet another sad attempt to give their club some sort of purpose.
