I know I am in a minority, of probably one, but the squad we had last season massively underperformed for 4 months and we still only missed out on goal difference. That shows how good we actually were the rest of the season. Despite all the reasons/excuses.
Get rid of your five worst players and replace them with 5 "best players" and you would have a very good squad. Slightly hampered by Amos, Chuks and JFC as that's 3 more if not best, good, players we need.
Hopefully we won't be going into the last knockings of the transfer window trying to get any Tom, Dick or Matt Smith on loan because we need "bodies in the building" and can actually get some that improve us.
Happy with this. We need some form of continuity from last season. Be great if we get to see the Matthews we did in the Championship more than the one who strangely started to flick balls into the centre of defence and midfield last season.
“I said from the end of last season I wanted to stay at Charlton,” Matthews, 29, told the club’s official website. “I spoke to the manager a couple of times and he seems to really want me here, so that’s always a good sign.
Pleased he's re-signed, I prefer him to Gunter. It just takes the edge off though, knowing he takes so long to commit to us, even if it's understandable.

Oh well.
Put him on the Green List @Dazzler21
Survey please, Bert.
Lads!!
Season before last in the Champs, he was one of the few outstanding players in the team.
He improved under Nads, so expect him to push on and be more than up to the job.
