Prince Charles is going to watch repeats of Can't cook won't cook and learn how to do boiled eggs and soldiers. Never too old to learn new life skills.
He'll find these useful as well. Mind you I'm the only one over the years who has mastered these technique in my household.
It's my great nephew's Dan's 8th birthday today. He lives in Cardiff. He's a bit of a lively lad but lovely with it. Loves his football, especially Oxford United like his old man.
I've just been sent some videos of Dan being led out into the front garden where about 20 of his neighbours all around were waiting to sing Happy Birthday to him from their own front gardens. He was stunned but it's made his day. Also had a personal message from a Newport County player too. This is one birthday he will aways remember for sure!
It will be an interesting future study - reduction in burglary and street crime, increase in domestics. Lives also being saved through reduced pollution, fewer road traffic casualties.
I wonder if the reductions will be close to matching the death toll from Corona?
In 2018 there was 1784 deaths in the UK but about 25k left with life changing injuries due to road accidents.
The improved pollution figures need to be studied and shouted out from the rooftops(maybe not at the moment) to the Donald Trump's of this world.
BREWDOG SANITISER UPDATE: We have now packed & donated over 50,000 units to the NHS and local charities.
This weekend we set up a 2nd packaging station at our brewery & have enlisted extra team members from our closed bars to help us pack even more 💪 Container availability has been interesting. We've overcome the challenge by packing the sanitiser in anything suitable we can get our paws on, including small beer bottles (to be used to refill other containers).
My sister is a prison officer. With no visitors allowed and all post copied rather than delivered direct, it's apparently drug free for the first time ever

Must be a lot of cold turkey going on then. Surprised they aren’t killing themselves...

We’ve gone into partial lockdown at our place with absolutely no off-wing movement (no gym, no chapel, no work/education and definitely no visits) so spice on our wing has dried up. It’s nice because we’re actually able to have conversations with a few of the lads who use because they’re not mumbling wrecks at the moment.
@Alwaysneil - there are withdrawal symptoms with spice but it’s nothing like coming off heroin.

It really would be a plus for the country as well as the individuals concerned if the experience of being drug-free for an extended period encouraged some to try to stay clean permanently. Or is that being over-optimistic?
Does it also give some practical ideas for how to impede the re-entry of drugs into prisons when the partial lockdown is eventually lifted?

My missus was in pieces watching.
Wonderful news and warms me to know that some of the genuinely amazing engineering brains we have in the UK are attacking this problem

Here's an RAF Hercules landing there
