Fernandes didn’t touch the ball so Cavani was offside. Man United continue to get the benefit of dodgy decisions even when officials have VAR to help them! It does not matter how good a goal it was or that it was Man United, it was offside and should have been disallowed. Makes me think that if Man United had scored the offside goal that Chelsea scored at Wembley on Saturday it would have been allowed!

    Just saw this:

Jermain Defoe today became the 87th player to have gone on to win a trophy after leaving Tottenham in the time since Tottenham last won a trophy

This can't be true can it? Spurs are a Super League club after all
Erm... is there a legitimate source for this?
(Or did you take it from a Gooner supporters twitter account, the only place I can find it online?)

Would be interested to see it, would make a brilliant trivia question.

As a matter of interest, I can count 21 (if you're including Play Off Trophies and Ollie Skipp's title win at Norwich this season!)

4 of them went on to win La Liga in Spain.  2 are obvious ones, 2 not so.
On reflection I think that this is wrong - 87 players haven't won trophies and Spurs definitely aren't worthy of being in any Super League

Wow... 2-0 down against Man City... Brighton have made it 3-2!!

Hopefully we're about to get another Chelsea video, they've had another goal chalked off :D

    That Foden goal is superb

I've counted 24 (25 if Trippier wins La Liga). 5 of them won leagues this season.

But yeah it's absolutely nowhere near 87.
Well...if trophies outside of the top flight are included...

There's actually 46... including play off titles and those who won trophies out on loan...

(as you can see, I've been a bit geeky last 24hrs lol)
But those players might have won 87 trophies between them after they left? That would, in effect, be the same thing wouldn't it?

Werner is absolutely comical, goes for a header 2 yards out and it hits his arm and goes in. VAR disallows it.

Matter of time though before Chelsea do score. Leicester are not really in this game.

Chelsea sit in 3rd and one would have thought that at least one of the likes of Pulisic, Abraham, Werner, Havertz and Giroud would manage more than half a dozen goal in the PL this season. But they haven't and as a group have netted just 24 times between them. Their top scorer with 7 goals is actually Jorginho and all are penalties too.

Interesting weekend coming up if Liverpool can win at Burnley.

    Chelsea 67 (away @ Villa)
    Liverpool 66 (home vs Palace)
    Leicester 66 (home vs Spurs)

Chelsea's game at Villa won't be easy, and their players may be distracted by the CL final 6 days later

In fact you can make a case for all 3 sides failing to win

I'd be happy with 3 homes wins. I know plenty on here hate Liverpool but I can't stand Chelsea. Hoping City beat them too and they end up with nothing but a Europa league spot.

Villa and Palace have nothing to play for though.

I think after all the ups and downs of the season and the threats by Leicester and West Ham we're going to end up with the same 4 big clubs in the champions league again.

Liverpool only just beat West Brom (a team with nothing to play for) though

I'd be disappointed for Leicester but the thought of West Ham in the Champions League is truly vomit inducing.

At least West Ham can only get Europe League at best now.

I hope Leicester hang on to top 4, always good to see a few of the ‘super 6’ mess up.
