Addicks,
With infinite sadness I must inform you that earlier this evening Jean passed away after a long illness. Jean's extraordinary courage and determination took her deep into added time, but the end when it came was a merciful release.
I regret to say that the words I need seem momentarily to be absent, but I will write further.
RIP.....Sweetheart......RIP.

From the legend that is the BFGAlan,I’m so sad to hear that Jean has passed away. She has been so strong & fought for such a long time. I’m glad that we managed to create precious memories at cafc which will stay with her forever. My deepest condolences to her family & friends in this very sad time. She will be truly missed. May her soul rest in peace.Patrick50 -

A memory to share with you.
Just before lockdown Jean and I went to see Brendan Cole in Southend. Jean was no longer well enough to travel by train and going in my old chicken van would have been difficult as Jean couldn’t walk far, so I persuaded @Big in Brasov to take us there and drop us right outside. The traffic was really dreadful and it took us 3 hours from Charlton to Southend. We got there late for the show - but so did everybody else so the show was delayed a while and Jean and I took to our seats just as it started. We didn’t have time for a pre show drink but had a large Pinot (hers and my favourite) at the interval.15 -

Such wonderful photos, thank you. And how amazing from BFG.
You're so much in our thoughts @Arsenetatters, @GlassHalfFull and the rest of "the gang".

I've already indicated to TS that although he will clearly not be buying the best football team in the land, he will be buying the best football club.I have tears of sadness in my eyes for Jean, and tears of pride in our wonderful club.15 -
We know that to every fan their club is special - well of course CAFC is no different, it's just that we're that little bit especially special.

RIP Jean. You will be forever in the hearts of the German Addicks. She gave us some memorabilia for our Addicks museum, for which we are very grateful. The next time we meet the "gang" around @Fanny Fanackapan and @GlassHalfFull it's hard to believe she won't be there.Great to see the picture of the Ypres trip. Thanks for sharing @Coyotejohn1947
