There is one picture that it would be good to share again. I'm pretty sure there is a picture of Jean at the Unity March in the picture file of that momentous day. Sadly, so far I cannot find it - could someone take a look, please?
Goodness me, can we please find the restart button for this year... I never met Jean, but as what has already been said, the gestures from people on here, Patrick Bauer, and those at our very special club, it says a lot about Charlton supporters.
I've just met Jean's brother Terry. It was Jean's wish that her Charlton stuff should be offered first to the Museum. She must have been their staunchest customer - they'll be getting half their stock back!! Stand by, Nick ....
Great tribute must be paid to Tracey Leaburn, who has been aware of Jean's struggles for quite some time and has been tremendously supportive during that period. It was she who produced the coach sign - she got to SL very early yesterday, went fifteen rounds with the computer and prevailed in the end to display that brilliant epitaph. From the club Ravi too has been very kind, very considerate, although it can also be said that Jean was long a generous and loyal customer of his.
For now, one last accolade. One of our own number has gone far beyond the extra mile in helping Jean, especially over the past increasingly difficult months. She has made a considerable difference, even on one occasion driving Jean down to deepest Hampshire to visit her other brother Vic. An unassuming, selfless and true Samaritan, I won't embarrass her further by revealing her identity except to say her name begins with a and ends with rsenetatters - please take a bow!!
I have taken my time to post this as i was quite gutted to read about Jeans passing, I struggled to come to terms with my best pals cancer diagnosis mainly because my dad had the same cancer and lasted no time at all, Jean reached out to me and pointed me in the direction of a mediacl team that may just have the answers as she was one of only a very small number of surviors of this horrible horrible disease.
RIP Jean god bless you your family and friends at this time, And Thankyou for being such a wonderful and loving person

No surprise to me that our own Arsentatters would be so generous.
RIP Jean.
Rip Jean
Thoughts with her family
His ownership of her club meant she missed out on lots of matches due to her boycott.
This special lady was NOT for turning !
