Wonder if he’s picked up Covid.
I thought that was only on xbox
  • Doesn't anyone think he would have run today's game,a class act but he's not going to chase back or track a runner.Just let him do his thing and give the guy a chance.Judge him late season.

For those that love a MM Instagram story he's on the mend

Self isolating and had to wait on a test result would be my guess

That’s good news, probably a dodgy pizza!

If he was, with oshi and levitt also unavailable due to covid, why wasn’t our game called off?

He's in a PSG tracksuit....shouldn't we all be going ape shit over that?*

    *this is just a joke

Not even on the bench today, wonder if he’s picked up a PS5 injury.
    Ill
"Ill" yep so LB does keep some of the stuff with players in the dressing room then... Ill my fat hairy arse  :D
Wonder what MM's got on the manager that Albie and Jonniesta haven't?

I'm not surprised he gets a mixed bag from the fans. We don't often have a real baller show up and play for us, so it's natural we get confused when one does

All the 6's and 6.5's are killing me... Marcus was pure class. Sure he seemed to go quiet a few times, but whenever the others started to go quiet MM grabbed the game by the scruff.

I'll add that the quality Viewfinder always bangs on about - players who will not fuck around but advance, take on the opposition and put the ball in the bloody goal - the Halesian Drive, to be psychological perhaps - is precisely the quality Maddison espouses most. In the shooting warm-up, other players try to pass it in. Maddison smashes it. Jamie Vardy is another, albeit even more exemplary, exponent of the Will To Smash.

He was completely instrumental in our turnaround. His bits of play before the 2nd and 3rd goals were I'd say very difficult, perhaps impossible to imagine from anyone else in our squad

Also, Bowyer left him on probably 15 minutes longer than he'd originally wanted to, because he was not only playing very well but tracking back too
  • Cracking showing by Maddison. His pass to Bogle at start of second half was outrageous. Let’s hope he carry this good form into the next match and try and become a consistent player in our first 11
  • LB knew the type of player he was getting when he brought in MM.I thought he was Quality today. He had great work rate. You can see he is a bit of a one off and that's what we need. Not sure some of his team mates had his vision in the first half but that should come with time.I hope he can bond off the pitch with his team mates as I just don't see the same empathy with him as say Williams. But we showed in the second half there is room for both of them in the same team.We need to be on the front foot much more like the 2nd half.Play to MM's strengths and will go up this season

He is my man of the match for today’s game. The one thing he especially needs to work on is his heading. But I would accept him even without any of that just for his passing ability which is outrageously good over a long distance. I was initially doubtful if he could play in this team but now I’m fully persuaded that he should be in each and every game.

He was also my MOM today, he was instrumental in us getting back into the game and his vision and passing ability is way above league one level. It's a mystery to me why he hasn't gone further in the game

Maybe he will if he develops into a team player?

  • I think the ‘PS5 rest’ did Marcus the world of good, good to see him playing 80 minutes yesterday, he did well.

Watching his warm-up yesterday, he is the best finisher at the club by a country mile.
  • The fella had a great improvement. The opposition were falling over trying to keep up with him at times. Good work between him and FC. Nimble and agile, you could see the creative ability. His off the ball work rate was higher and valuable to the team, so you can see the training work paying off. Well played.

Certainly the cleanest striker of a ball.
He was absolutely smashing them in.

Senior players have been ribbing Maddison , and he’s taken it really well. Had a rocky start, but is now popular and is settling in well.
Where you hearing this from? Last week we were hearing about dressing room unrest and a senior player saying that 'Bows had lost the plot'.

If this is the case I'm happy for him as it must have been a difficult period for him. Pandemic, broke up with his missus, out of work for a while and had to move away from his daughter.

A happy Maddison working hard for the team will crush this league.
