1-1 draw. Record against Oxford is very poor. Imagine we will see Robbo's tactical genius on show as they double up on Doughty and defend deep against us.
Weird feeling being genuinely excited to watch Charlton again, I've decided I'll be backing us to win 2-0 all season. They won me some cash on Saturday and I'm hoping they do the same tomorrow.
We do look light up top, with Chuks unable to play and will Bogle be able to start after playing the full 90 on Saturday? I think this will be a tougher task that the previous 2 matches.
Yes he had his faults, but Robinson IS a decent manager. While it's not all down to him, it's notable to see the difference between MK Dons when he was there, consistently a strong L1 side who made it into the Championship for one season, to what they are now, a struggling L1 side
Watson must be close, if not already there to the rack up of bookings to get a one match ban, i'm sure it used to be end of September, but unsure now with latest rules. So, maybe Lee could be a bit sharp with the selection of Watson if the case.

He's got one booking left before suspension... Its usually about 15-games that have to be surpassed to avoid it
On Maddison’s instagram he’s tucking into a dominoes pizza, garlic bread, chicken wings, another unknown dish and a full fat coke. Made me laugh anyway, guy’s acting like he’s hungover at uni.
Surprisingly after a good last season, Oxford have got off to a poor start in this one. Their last five games are like the cha cha cha .. LOST WON LOST LOST WON ((:>) Tomorrow will make that start just a bit worse. We are playing with assured confidence whoever takes the field
I think we'll find goals hard to come by, especially without Doughty. A bit of a risk to try and squeeze another 90 minutes out of Bogle, so maybe he'll be on the bench and we'll start with our International strike force of Washington and Smyth. Maddison will surely get a decent run out in the second half.
I hope I'm wrong but I can see this one being a draw.
How about playing Watson and Shinnie in central midfield, Purrington at left back and Morgan and Maatsen on the wings? Maatsen has played at wing back for the Chelsea youth teams and in Doughty's absence would give us some extra speed and athleticism in what would otherwise be a pretty slow side. He might also help give support down that side to Purrington.
Safe to say that he's still a tedious halfwit who tries to disguise his total ignorance of absolutely everything by using unnecessary words and phrases that sound like they were copied from the horoscope column in the Daily Star.
The "Fire and Ice" interview reminded me of his prolific derby record whilst in charge of us, particularly the "caged animals" performance at Gillingham which set the Gills on the road to their first ever league double against us.
I'll be happy with any win, just for the opportunity to enjoy reading Karl's post-match list of pathetic excuses. But if we are going to humiliate anyone by 6 or 7 nil this season, this fixture would be my first choice.
Charlton 6-0 Oxford, in your face Karl, in your face!
I can't hate KR. He may be is a bit of a total prat sometimes all the time, but he's also a decent useless manager and, by all accounts a good person total and utter knobhead.
Sorry, I know it's immature but I couldn't help myself.
Couple of points: Does 2 good seasons in a decade made you a "decent manager"? Seems a pretty low bar to me. Who are all these people claiming he's a good person? I've not read any of his former players talking about what a great chap he was. I'm sure Roland, Katrien and Driesen would all say he's a great guy, because he was supportive of their destructive management of our club. I definitely don't think he's a good person, i think he's a right tit.

Not surprisingly, we're using Inniss as a weapon at set pieces. The disallowed goal at Blackpool, the knockdown for Pratley's goal at Northampton. Prats himself said Jacko is working on set pieces to get the most out of Inniss' aerial ability in the oppo's box. Without a fox in the box, they're trying to come up with new ideas.
Knowing Bowyer, he's surely got one eye on his strongest lineup for the Pompey game, as the 6-pointer. With this in mind, we can expect some player rotation again tomorrow.
Watching the Quest show this weekend, the virus rules are a bit of a shambles at the moment
Accrington play Fleetwood on Tuesday. Accrington then call off their game on Saturday due to 8 players testing positive, but Fleetwood play Gillingham on Saturday despite their players not being tested before the match
Inniss has got the potential to be as dangerous at corners as Big Dave Shipperley in the 70s, who used to charge in from the corner of the box and nearly always got his head to the ball. He was a very, very difficult man to block off once he got up a head of steam. We also had precision deliveries from the likes of Colin Powell.
Opponents will also be so concerned about Inniss' aerial prowess that they'll be vulnerable to the occasional variation in approach, such as a near post flick on from another of our players (the sort of routine that Mark Kinsella and Stevie Brown used to deploy).
JFC put in a few good corners on Saturday and Maddison is a renowned dead ball specialist, so our goal output from this important source should improve. It's an important area of the game and one that we've hardly excelled at in recent years. Smyth's long throws might also prove useful on occasions, with Inniss looking to flick the ball on at the near post and generally create some chaos.

Very harsh, he steadied the ship and made us less of a laughing stock. He brought in Bowyer, Gallen and gave Jackson a coaching role.
He also got rid of a few high earners and brought in some good players. Nobody was going to succeed in the job he had, and i’m not saying he did a great job - but he built strong enough foundations for Bowyer to perform miracles. I’m personally glad he’s gone but I wish him well.
Yes he’s a bit marmite but I can’t see why anyone would waste their time actively hating the man.

Our squad is really holding up nicely now with injuries. We are not having to dip into the kids team. For me, that is still such a positive and point of contentment.

Looking at Inniss's record, I was surprised that in 116 games he's only scored 2 goals, you'd have thought that with his aerial power he'd have scored more often than that. 1 goal in 29 games for Newport last season in L2 is a surprisingly low return
Phil Chapple for example scored 15 goals in 167 matches for us

Our clean sheet run that is.
Bows matches up with a 4231
Watson and Pratley holding,
JFC Williams and Smyth in the three and Bogle up top
Moaners will moan, especially when we go behind but the final result will justify the means.
3 - 1 win
2-0 The Addicks.

Your get good odds on Robert Atkinson scoring a hatrick: he's a CB who has never scored a League goal ! TBF he hasn't played many league games.

Steve Evans was concerned for the risk to his own health...
