Just met a chap at shoulder injury class who's injury was caused by a flu jab. Mine was from a covid jab as previously mentioned. I'm not seeking to put anyone off but do think it's always worth a mention to the nurse/ doc/ casual worker doing the jab to make sure they hit the right spot- which is a specific small triangular zone in the upper arm, and no-where else!0

The evidence keeps coming.
For those interested in why the “booster” is both unnecessary and potentially damaging to the immune system of recipients, I recommend you listen to this interview with:
Professor Angus Dalgleish (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists and The Academy of Medical Scientists, consultant Oncologist and a Professor of Oncology at St George's University London)He is co-founder and Research Director of Onyvax, a company set up in 1998 to make novel vaccines for common solid tumours.
He currently sits on eight editorial boards, is the author or co-author of peer reviewed scientific papers and over 70 chapters in medical books. He is the co-editor of five medical books. He has been on numerous grant committees and is currently on the European Commission Cancer Board.

It takes the briefest Google to know that Angus Dalgleish is another headcase. He's absolutely adamant that the virus is man-made and came from China and was part of a secret group who spent two years targeting a science journal that didn't share his views. 'The group attempted to have Nature and its staff put under surveillance and investigated by MI5, MI6, the CIA, Mossad, and Japanese and Australian intelligence agencies. They met Cabinet minister Michael Gove and later asked him to arrange phone taps and electronic surveillance. One member of the group led intrusive investigations into the intimate personal life and background circumstances of senior Nature staff the group suspected of “extreme Sinophile views”. When their campaign flopped and a Covid vaccine promoted by the group failed to reach any form of clinical testing, the group arranged for unfounded accusations against Nature magazines and staff to be published by the Daily Telegraph and on other right wing news sites. They called themselves the “Covid Hunters”. Their allegations against science reporting helped fuel an explosion in “lab leak” claims on right-wing conspiracy sites.'The group 'came up with a scheme to make money from promoting a vaccine idea from Dalgleish and Norwegian colleague Birger Sørensen. Sørensen ran a small Oslo pharma company, Immunor AS. Immunor had previously claimed to have found “functional cures” for HIV, the cause of Aids. Sørensen and Dalgleish – and later Prins – described holding stock or stock options in Immunor.'He's another grifter who has launched a disinformation campaign to enrich himself and you've managed to stumble into the arms of yet another dickhead who will quite happily watch the world collapse around him if he can find a tenner under the rubble. His issue with the vaccine is that it isn't his vaccine (the one that hasn't made it to any form of clinical testing) and so he's not getting any money. Please stop posting this shit; if you don't want to get the vaccine then crack on, but this garbage being posted here isn't doing anyone any favours.21 -

When reading posts by @PeanutsMolloy I'm getting distinct echoes of Queensland_Anonymous from various HoC topics. You can always, always, always find someone, somewhere to support your view on pretty much any subject.
What @PeanutsMolloy needs to consider however is whether you should give weight to the opinions of such outliers or whether you should trust, you know, the entire global medical profession. There have been, literally, billions of doses of the covid vaccines administered globally over the last 3 years or so. According to https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations there have been 13.5 billion doses administered to over 70% of the world's population. If even 1% of those caused serious problems we would have a global medical emergency on our hands that dwarfs anything we have ever seen, with roughly 2% of the world's population being taken out. Have we seen that, or anything even remotely approaching it? No. So maybe you should pipe down with your conspiracy theories.15 -
Apropos of nothing, the sponsored link when I was reading this today was:

So, I'm going to curl up later on with my copy of Lord of the Rings. I'd struggle to find anything that involves more reading.
I can't begin to imagine how much improvement I'll have in my joints by the time Sam and Frodo get to Mount Doom...5 - Sponsored links:

(It seems in terms of catty comments to fellow professionals, the science community could teach actors a thing or two.)

I have a horrible feeling that Peanuts posts his anti-vax stuff here but won’t read any of the replies that point out where they are wrong. He probably thinks we’re all part of the great vaccination conspiracy, along with the 1.4m who work for the NHS.2

Just had my Covid jab.
Flu jab was 3 weeks ago.
I'm off to Egypt on Monday so happy to have had both before I go.5 -

I've only had the flu jab once and got terrible flu that same year.
I'm hesitating on the Covid, not specifically against but having had 4, do I really need another one, not sure?

Had my Covid and Flu updates last week0

@sillav nitram this might help you decide
Why is a booster vaccine important?
The protection from the coronavirus vaccines doesn’t last forever in your body, so it is important to get your booster vaccine to help keep you safe for longer.

Are The new jabs longer lasting ? At one point they were said to only be efficient for 3 months or so.0

Had my booster this morning, very efficient at the surgery in and out pretty quick. I'll keep on having them as long as I'm asked to. Got family that work in schools so it's best for me to keep myself safe.1

Maybe you realise that being under 70, with no underlying health problems or serious comorbidities and in reasonable health that should you catch Covid your chances of surviving this 'deadly' virus would be 99.8%.
But go on, push the leaky boat out and have another booster. Stay 'safe'...

Assuming the percentage figure is correct, 0.2% is an extremely large number of reasonably healthy people. Surviving should not be taken as a return to normal.
Also what of the over 70's? Everyone is is going to die at some point but that ever increasing large group of people in the world has to be looked after and protected just the same as younger people with underlying issues or without.6
