Hi fellow Addicks. It’s Graham Tutt here. It’s very apt that we are playing at Sunderland today because, for those of you that know your Charlton history, that’s where I played my final match for The Addicks. I suffered a terrible, career-ending injury in that match which was shown on that night’s Match of The Day. So I guess I have a connection with Sunderland for all the wrong reasons! Anyway, if you haven’t heard yet, my autobiography comes out on Monday and I really hope you’ll have a read. I collaborated with lifelong Addick Matt Eastley who wrote The Charlton Miscellany and Charlton On This Day. It tells the whole story of my childhood and how I became a professional with The Addicks and then gives a detailed account of the day I sustained the terrible injury. And then of course, my story after that. It’s a story that spans three continents and has more ups and downs than even Charlton’s recent history! So, it’s a bit of a rollercoaster. I’m so proud to have played for this great club and I hope that comes through in the book. I take nothing for granted but maybe you’ll buy a copy and enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
