  • Puts in perspective how poor this team is. Don't understand why Shinnie didn't come on as well. I still can't get my head around one up front at home.
  • Not the greatest performance to be fair....in fact turgid sums it up for me. However in the past that's a game we may well have lost, so we get a point and IF we win our game in hand we move into 6th. Overall we looked poor up front and had little inspiration in midfield.....just a poor performance.
Could do with Gillingham beating Oxford this evening or at least getting a point.
We move onto Tuesday and travel to Plymouth, a game I think we need to win, as we have Peterborough next Saturday.

Lifeless, languid performance that felt like a pre-season friendly.

We turned it up a notch from the 62nd minute but it wasn't enough. Perhaps could have scored but had a 0-0 written all over it.

Thought Stockley was poor today and is another spongefoot with his feet. Bit of a one-trick pony. Aneke is much more of a threat and has to start if he's fit.

Really disappointing, feel very frustrated with that performance, and the continuation of themes we've seen this season - brainless free kicks, poor decision making in the final third, inexplicable time wasting when we want a win, etc.

Chuks has not been properly fit since he joined the club, so do not hold your breath. If only one thing changes under Sandgaard, it should be not to buy any more half fit players.

Oh and that ref was truely awful. Love seeing Benty in a Charlton coat as well🤗 Fancy a job as a striker coach Dazza??
  • Frustrating game. Ipswich were there for the taking, especially in the second half, but we couldn't find that cutting edge. The team actually played very well; back four were superb, midfield was strong, DJ was a real threat in the second half. Stockley could have done more with his chance when the keeper spilled the ball but worked hard, and Millar was disappointing. Watson was very good when he came on. We had our chances, great save from the keeper off DJ's header, and a real wasted opportunity from Millar when we had a three man overload in their box. What we needed today was to make subs when Ipswich got tired, but the personnel we had available was all wrong. You can't just bring any old player on, and it would have been stupid to change our shape because we were really worrying them and creating chances. At the moment we are pretty reliant on the high ball up to a target man or DJ, and players peeling off them to pick up knock downs and build high up the pitch. Ronnie for Stockley would have crippled us, but I think I would have given him the last ten for Millar. There was no point in bringing Shinnie on because Watson, JFC and Gilbey were all driving the game for us. If we'd had Washington, Maatsen or Aneke available today I think we would have won, but instead when we really needed fresh like-for-like legs to come on we just didn't have them available. It's a shame, but we've kept Ipswich below us and gained a point on Portsmouth, who along with Oxford are looking like the side we'll be bum fighting for the 6th spot. Let's hope Oxford don't get more than a point tonight and that we can pick up at least four more wins this season.
  • Dull team, in a dull game in a dull league.  Roll on August.
  • Very disappointing. I don’t get Adkins reluctance to change formation when it wasn’t going our way. Shockley was isolated up front and Millar and DJ weren’t close enough to him when he won the ball in the air. What with Blackpool and Lincoln winning today, I think our chances of the play-offs are now virtually gone. We’re going to have to rely on the other teams imploding that’s if we don’t implode ourselves.

  • Not sure what Adkins was watching to think no more changes were needed. Schwartz may as well not be on the bench at the moment.
  • I'm not sure about the big push for schwartz to be brought on, been brought on about 15 times and done nothing.

Its in our hands, if we can remain within two behind Portsmouth until we play our game in hand we'll go above them
  • Ipswich don't let many in, our two main strikers were out, predictable I guess.  Really don't get putting Innis on the back post for our corners, just stick him on the penalty spot and get him to run in.  He is so dangerous you don't need to be clever, just direct.  Ball in box, head, goal.  Easy.  Frustrating with some short freekicks when we could have just knocked them in the box.

Still, a point more than Pompey and that means this is now in our own hands with 6 games left.  Need.to beat Plymouth, Crewe and Accrington and grab one more win you would think at least.

The longer he left it the more pointless I thought it would be - Will always struggle to get the awful cameos from Grant out of my memory when he would be brought on with a few minutes to go and would leave everyone disappointed if he couldnt do anything
  • If we are winning or drawing Nigel won't make changes.
    Is that his thing?
  • Two average teams showing why they are not on the playoffs.

Be surprised if he isn't loaned out to Denmark in the summer

Its their fourth 0-0 in six games...
  • I don't think we'll concede against plymouth next game. there are still some positives even if time is running out
  • As disappointing a result as it may seem, that was Ipswich's seventh goalless draw of the season and with Portsmouth's defeat we have, actually, closed the gap on the 6th placed side. Equally, the Cowley "honeymoon" period is over with Portsmouth taking one point from their last three matches against the likes of MK Dons, Burton and Crewe.

It is now still in our hands - and we are unbeaten in nine games which is our longest run of being so for the whole of this season.
  • I’m sure it’ll be an unpopular opinion, but 4 games into the Adkins era and, apart from picking a settled side, I honestly don’t feel I’ve seen much improvement on what we were doing under Bowyer. He’ll get no credit now, but this unbeaten run was already well underway way under Bowyer.

We’ve been decent away and poor at how all season and it was the same again today.

Defensively decent but we could’ve played all night and it’s still be 0-0. I thought Ipswich were poor, and particularly looked vulnerable in the first half, but we really failed to take any advantage of it.

I still see no reason to think we are good enough to be promoted to even if we do make the playoffs.

Not particularly impressed with Adkins’ lack of action from the bench today either.

Could’ve been worse but not where I’d like us to be either.
  • Two mid table quality teams in a very poor quality league. Very poor.  Our two wingers flatter to deceive. Poor decision making. Millar has been sussed as a one trick pony and Stockley is poor with his feet. Adkins’ waffling will get tiresome if we start losing. I like him though so keeping the faith for another week or so.
  • Clearly Atkins doesn’t fancy Shinnie or Swaltz.

Really missed Maatsen, Miller no where good enough for Liverpool, decision making isn’t great.

Team will be knackered for Tuesday.

Their player should have been sent off for a second yellow 100%

On the upside the play offs are now in our hands, probably for the fist time in 4 months.

Thankfully we're away so we'll probably win - I'd be much more confident if we had four away games left and just two at home

We’ve never been losing under Adkins, so a bit of a pointless remark.
If he follows the same patter when we are losing then that would be a bit of a cause for concern.
  • What stood out today wae out lack of options from the bench, we were crying out for someone to come of the bench and make a difference like a Chucks.
