  • Are there any more Conference North / South teams that we can face in the next round?
  • FT  0-2, did the job in the end and progress, Gateshead made a game of it and probably deserved a goal, but we should have made it out of sight early on.. 3rd round here we come.. B)

Wtf? Why did the ref do that?!

Davison chasing down their keeper means he can't clear as well as he'd like and Gilbey comes forward and wins a freekick 10 yards outside the area. Ref blows the full time whistle rather than let us take it.

Another numpty ref blowing for time when we had a chance to score.

Morgan looked proper annoyed that the ref blew the whistle before he could take that free-kick
  • "Charlton have done very well, they've turned the game into a boring one". He definitely knows nothing about us. That's standard.
  • Morgan looks gutted he wasn't allowed to take that free kick!

Bearing in mind our back 3 have never played together, and a reserve team goalie, one CB is a midfielder and another is 18, keeping a clean sheet is a real achievement.

  • I think, watching how Souare passed back from their penalty area, that he cannot cross the ball.

That said, delighted with a win and with the opportunity to share in the good fortune and fun.

    Well done all and sundry.

Very fortunate to. Not sure we can give them much credit!

Banana skin avoided and Deji/Henderson played well. Apart from that, one to forget.

This, I really don’t think it’s been the poor defensive display some are eluding to all things considered.

I think there’s probably a lot of luck involved with that.

Though that being said I was very impressed with Gateshead.

Buxton would be awesome. Lovely pubs. The Peak District.
  • Now let's get 3 and 4
No no no. I’ve gone for 2-0 in the Prediction League. Keep it tight, lads. You’ve already shown these non-Leaguers what football is all about.
    Well played, lads

Gateshead were allowed to have several great chances. We can't rely on poor opposition finishing when we play Ipswich and Cambridge.

    We really miss Pearce

Someone's lucky that the Grammar Police, Spelling Branch has a whole heap of almost Geordies to worry about tonight.
  • Have some of that Beckford and the North East!

    3rd round here we come!

    Merry bloody Christmas Gateshead.

There are some harsh critics on here.
