  • I really don't think Ian Ward in the studio is correct that the reason Duckett wasn't given out "stumped" was because Rizwan had taken the ball in front of the stumps after he hit it - it is "run out" because he was attempting a run. For example, had Rizwan hit whipped the bails off in the same way but Duckett had just lifted his back foot instead of running, that would have been "stumped". Equally, if Rizwan had come down the track and the ball brushed his pad on the way through, he would still be out "stumped" even if the wicket keeper took the ball in front of the stumps.
  • Impressive restraint that nobody outright called on Malan to be dropped after that run-out. Would be looking a little foolish now. Yeah, selfish, but scored at a higher strike-rate than Brook
  • Haris Rauf clearly one of the best T20 bowlers in the world at this point btw, stunning stuff again

4 innings though - the not out, Salt's wicket and dropped twice
  • dropped catches lose you matches .. of course if England win this, the drops will play a big part .. now Babar adds to his misery .. O U T for 4 .. good to see Malan really come to the party
  • now Rizi goes .. the big guns have fired blanks
  • I'd like to join in the almost-ubiquitous praise of Malan for a very good knock.
  • Harry Brook is some player
  • Good to see Woakes back and taking wickets. Figures of  4-0-26-3 and prized wickets at that

  • England's squad has so much more depth than Pakistan's. Indeed we could almost stick 2 excellent teams in the World Cup

Leaving this a bit late in the day but can anyone tell me of, maybe using a VPN, I can access tomorrow's T20 game from Oz on my laptop, please.

    Currently in Tenerife....

    Thanks .
  • Consecutive ramp shots by Buttler for 4 and 6  :D
  • It's on BT
    Many thanks.
    Watching it now
    👍
  • If the pitches are like this in the World Cup, then it will be a batters paradise, as this is a road which suits players like Hales.

Trouble is that they aren't guaranteed to be the same and we will need to adapt. Last week a stronger Australian team (including Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood, Zampa and Maxwell) played the Windies in a two match series in Queensland. The pitches were two paced:

    West Indies 145-9 (20)
    Australia 146-7 (19.5)

    Australia 178-7 (20)
    West Indies 147-8 (20)

  • A poor end to the innings, showing the importance of having set batters out there at the death.
  • 208 - more than a decent score

  • Broad will opt out from the Pakistan tour

  • How has the umpire missed that nick? Could both see and hear it.
  • Woakes should try round the wicket to Warner ...

Poor umpiring that, an obvious nick, but that's what DRS is for, a blatant error.
  • Broad will opt out from the Pakistan tour

Bet he wouldn't had said no if it was the Caribbean
  • Been watching on BT for 10 minutes and none the wiser as to englands score other than reading this thread

    what a crap info graphic
  • And finally the total required is shown on screen !
  • Every single member of England's 15 man T20 World Cup squad plays for a Test hosting county. And yet nine of the 15 wouldn't be playing in Division 1 of the County Championship if the recommendations of the review came into effect next season. Equally, seven of the squad switched to join one of those Test hosting counties.

So, if the attraction isn't playing Division 1 red ball as a means to get into the Test side, it must be to play and be paid top dollar to play white ball. Add the extra bunce for playing in the Hundred and there is no reason to move the other way. Which is extremely bad news for the likes of Sussex, Essex, Kent, Worcestershire, Somerset, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northants and Gloucestershire.

But that is what the ECB want isn't it?
  • Curran is such an effective cricketer in this format
  • Our poor finish is gonna cost us
