8 league games since a win.
Only 15 goals scored in those 12 games.
Only 2 clean sheets kept in those 12 games.
2 points above the relegation zone.
One shot on target.
In League One. IN LEAGUE FUCKING ONE!!!
There are no positives to be found in this bollocks.
And this is from a manager who plays attractive attacking football.
But then again we did all ask where the goals were going to come from. We lost 2 attacking players and didnt recruit any & most if the midfield were here last season. The only worthy addition to the attacking side if things has been JRS.
And people wonder why we are struggling. I wont say I told you so......
Actually I will. Perhaps in future people might listen when a few of us say before the season starts that we haven't strengthend enough.4 -
that was dire and I still have the players marks to do - oh joy of joys
the ref was poor put we have had a couple of decent ones this season0 -

Bottom line they ain't good enough.
Garner is trying to find a formula that will work but that’s going to take time and investment. Maybe he won’t be given the time but the next incumbent will inherit the same group if he gets the push.0 -
I am assuming that Garner has been putting a lot of focused energy into CBT and JRS. I have to assume as there is absolutely no evidence of it. It is either the players or him depending on where the truth lies. Dropping CBT from the squad last week seems to have had an effect but I don't think it was the intended one.
I would have liked to see the system developed at Colchester for 60 minutes and that is on Garner I'm afraid.1 -
4 4 2 works better than 4 3 3 .. defence is decent especially with Stockley our best defensive header from corners, perhaps that is his future position (lol) .. midfield ? .. both worked hard but there is little quality .. Garner, why t f was Dobson, i m o our best on the day withdrawn for McGrandles ? .. Fraser needs to work and run harder .. attack ? .. Sakyi very disappointing, needs a break (unless we must contractually play him, the downside of loanees) .. Stockley and Leaburn ran their socks off but got very little service .. Kirk saw little of the ball and did even less when he was given it, though Lincoln deserve some credit for their tight defence .. basically we lack any quality in attack
The players are working hard for Garner but his lack of tactical nous and desperate substitutions cost us, still as said the 4 4 2 he has pretty much been forced to adopt is a start .. he just must persevere with it .. I'd still like to see him replaced .. another game, another point
OH . forgot, the dodgy sub-ref should have awarded us a penalty when Stockley was brought down .. that would have been a penalty try in Rugby Union .. still lower leagues get lower grade refs .. are they blind or just too scared to do the right thing ?1 -

The problems, including the rumoured academy budget cuts, start and end with this owner and key backroom staffing/C suite, or lack of it. There’s something really not right, and it wasn’t that difficult to spot a low Div3 struggle/relegation threat from the signings this year.
Wimbledon have conceded 13 goals in 7 games. The 2nd worst total in League Two.
Agree about the ownership though of course. He is the problem, not those below him.
TS who like many ego merchants is full of Bullshit and has not invested properly in a few decent striking and defensive players.
garner is struggling due to TS lack of investment
division 2 is not off the cards with this shite on the pitch.👎👎👎2 -

we are making last seasons squad look like world beaters . Recruitment has been woeful.Grim .
Literally if we won 2 of those drawn games we would be top 10.
Im under no illusions that it aint great but that statement is ridiculous. We can’t score. It’s going to be a long season .

SouthLincsAddick said:Was at the game today as it’s local. No positives today, despite playing 4-4-2 we still tried to play Garner Ball and it still came unstuck when it was played to feet to Stockley and to a certain extent Leaburn. The wingers couldn’t beat their men and the odd early cross was missed by the front two. The back four and central two did okay but it was a very poor Lincoln side. We simply don’t have the players to play Garner’s style of football. With the reduced budget I don’t expect any decent reinforcements coming in January. Roll on to the next owner, let’s hope it’s not a crook or an egomaniac. The only difference is how often you launch an optimistic long ball up to Stockley, or over their back line for someone to run on to. We’re not very good at either of those two things if we’re honest. Our problem seems to be that whatever we do we seem to do it too slowly.9

I mean their player only got sent off because his hand got in the way of Kirk's effort, so it was 2-0 regardless - Not to mention them having eleven players wouldn't have made much difference to Clare's strike either.0 -

That may be flowing, attractive football or crappy long ball stuff or a mixture of both. The starting point is how do I maximise results?13 - Sponsored links:

Two month ago we beat Plymouth 5-1.
since then they are unbeaten and top of the league.
we has played consistently badly and are now 18 points below them and 2 points off the drop Zone.
TS put your money where your bullshit Gob is or
sell up !!!!0 -
I am glad Garner thinks we shouldn’t have given the players grief…tell him we have drove all that got up at silly o’clock to the a team defend well… and the season has just started1
-
He was right that Lincoln were incredibly negative for a home side playing a bottom half team. It is almost like they respected us as a top team. Scoring goals is a big issue for us so it was probably a poor call on their part in all honesty and maybe they should have been a bit more front foot. We certainly edged a terrible game but is that something to be happy about given our position? If it was a result amongst wins, we would of course be less critical but there are not enough goals in this team.0
-
Plymouth just quietly getting on with it…
unveiled their Jack Leslie statue the other day.
If you walk past their ground their training pitches are just a secluded area next to it, nothing fancy, no trying to be Cat 1 on the cheap; obviously do good work on them though.
Sigh.
My point? Don’t know really, just wish we could be more normal.8 -
Mediocre FC heading for Division 4 AthleticWe are miles off where we should be, on and off the pitch. Depressing.1

Now, more than ever, we need a good prog metal song 🎶 about victory…..6

One point closer to safety!0

Slow drift down into the relegation zone by the end of the month, Garner sacked by early November0

I don't understand why JFC is not on the bench. If it is to do with his contract, which we opted to extend, it is outrageous and dare I say it unprofessional. If it isn't, why would we not explore what a midfielder who knows where the goal is might bring?2
-
a very poor game slightly livened up by Leaburn who provided some threat before tiring. Hardly worth watching even on the TV1

Garner: With a similar record to Adkins, how long before Sandgaard pulls the trigger .. Boom 💥0
-
I think Sandgaard must want to sell and is basically saving every penny he can. The reason this is not a positive is he probably wants money for something that isn't worth any money as it stands. We are a token £1 job if ever there was one. At least if he found somebody willing to pay that, he would stop losing money. And maybe we could be run properly for the first time in many, many years but I'm not holding my breath.3

Have spent the whole week bemoaning the antics of the RMT, Aslef, etc, whilst exploring every avenue possible untl the very last minute to get there. In hindsight, they've done me a favour, much more of that and I may join. Garner seems OK and IMHO has been convinced by a very good salesman with plenty of style, but ultimately no substance. Today has proven that, youngsters on long term contracts, recruitment by committee which now seems disparate - either lads Garner knew of that had to plug holes, or the 2 loans which seem more Gallen like, with Mini-Me interfering to make sure we play "the exciting brand (sic) of football we want to see." However it is a results business and can see yet another departure, which means another pay off and Leaburn and Burstow reacquainted in Chelsea's U21s to cover it. If TS were to at least put his hands up and admit he has got it wrong it would be something but highly unlikely. Tuesday and Monday are now make or break all round - and it's only October.5
