2 wins in 12 league games.
8 league games since a win.
Only 15 goals scored in those 12 games.
Only 2 clean sheets kept in those 12 games.
2 points above the relegation zone.
    One shot on target.

In League One. IN LEAGUE FUCKING ONE!!!

There are no positives to be found in this bollocks.
15 goals in 12 games with 5 (a third) coming in just 1 game. So 10 goals in 11 games.

And this is from a manager who plays attractive attacking football.

But then again we did all ask where the goals were going to come from. We lost 2 attacking players and didnt recruit any & most if the midfield were here last season. The only worthy addition to the attacking side if things has been JRS.

And people wonder why we are struggling. I wont say I told you so......

Actually I will. Perhaps in future people might listen when a few of us say before the season starts that we haven't strengthend enough.
    Genius at work.
  • that was dire and I still have the players marks to do - oh joy of joys

the ref was poor put we have had a couple of decent ones this season
  • Got to win on Tuesday, I think the fans will be pretty vociferous if the players don’t put a shift in.
The thing is I think most players do put a shift in and are trying their best.
Bottom line they ain't good enough.
Indeed they are a honest bunch of workers but don’t have the ability to push on to a top 6 position. The bookies had us down for a 12th place spot and that looks optimistic after the first quarter of this season.

Garner is trying to find a formula that will work but that’s going to take time and investment. Maybe he won’t be given the time but the next incumbent will inherit the same group if he gets the push.

I am assuming that Garner has been putting a lot of focused energy into CBT and JRS. I have to assume as there is absolutely no evidence of it. It is either the players or him depending on where the truth lies. Dropping CBT from the squad last week seems to have had an effect but I don't think it was the intended one.

I would have liked to see the system developed at Colchester for 60 minutes and that is on Garner I'm afraid.
  • 4 4 2 works better than 4 3 3  .. defence is decent especially with Stockley our best defensive header from corners, perhaps that is his future position (lol) ..  midfield ? .. both worked hard but there is little quality .. Garner, why t f was Dobson, i m o our best on the day withdrawn for McGrandles ? .. Fraser needs to work and run harder .. attack ? .. Sakyi very disappointing, needs a break (unless we must contractually play him, the downside of loanees) .. Stockley and Leaburn ran their socks off but got very little service .. Kirk saw little of the ball and did even less when he was given it, though Lincoln deserve some credit for their tight defence .. basically we lack any quality in attack

The players are working hard for Garner but his lack of tactical nous and desperate substitutions cost us, still as said the 4 4 2 he has pretty much been forced to adopt is a start .. he just must persevere with it .. I'd still like to see him replaced .. another game, another point  :|

OH . forgot, the dodgy sub-ref should have awarded us a penalty when Stockley was brought down .. that would have been a penalty try in Rugby Union .. still lower leagues get lower grade refs .. are they blind or just too scared to do the right thing ?

Garner’s probably an all right manager, so was Jacko.  At least they are/were not the majority of the problem.  The problems, including the rumoured academy budget cuts, start and end with this owner and key backroom staffing/C suite, or lack of it.  There’s something really not right, and it wasn’t that difficult to spot a low Div3 struggle/relegation threat from the signings this year.
Jackson just lost 3-1 to Walsall just so everyone is aware.

Wimbledon have conceded 13 goals in 7 games. The 2nd worst total in League Two.

Agree about the ownership though of course. He is the problem, not those below him.
100% you cannot blame anyone apart from
TS who like many ego merchants is full of Bullshit and has not invested properly in a few decent striking and defensive players.
garner is struggling due to TS lack of investment
division 2 is not off the cards with this shite on the pitch.👎👎👎
  • Stating the obvious here but we are in a relegation battle . I think we keep assuming things will improve but this team is awful, I can’t see it,
we are making last seasons squad look like world beaters . Recruitment has been woeful.
    Grim .
We really arent. We have drawn 7 games and lost 3...it aint good form but it aint relegation form either.

Literally if we won 2 of those drawn games we would be top 10.

Im under no illusions that it aint great but that statement is ridiculous.
Looking at performances, results , lack of recruitment, lack of quality , lack of fight, and the slide down the league to almost relegation zone. I don’t think it’s ridiculous to think that. The club is rotten at the moment . Starting at the top. TS is ruining the club he was supposed to save.
We can’t score. It’s going to be a long season .

Errr ... and if we'd lost two of those drawn games we would be in the relegation zone .....
IMO we didn't really merit the 2 wins we got- Derby should have been 3 or 4 up at HT and Plymouth result greatly affected by the  sending off. However majority of the season  is still to play.
Did Plymouth having ten men really change much.

I mean their player only got sent off because his hand got in the way of Kirk's effort, so it was 2-0 regardless - Not to mention them having eleven players wouldn't have made much difference to Clare's strike either.
A  extra man could/might have closed down Clares strike, and 2-0 isn't  game over. Just watched Burton highlights (OK 90 secs...) but they look like they are playing better.  Also  Derby could have thrashed us by HT, so that would be minus 3 pts. However majority of the season left to play.

  • Two month ago we beat Plymouth 5-1.
since then they are unbeaten and top of the league.
we has played consistently badly and are now 18 points below them and 2 points off the drop Zone.
TS put your money where your bullshit Gob is or
    sell up !!!!
  • I am glad Garner thinks we shouldn’t have given the players grief…tell him we have drove all that got up at silly o’clock to the a team defend well… and the season has just started

He was right that Lincoln were incredibly negative for a home side playing a bottom half team. It is almost like they respected us as a top team. Scoring goals is a big issue for us so it was probably a poor call on their part in all honesty and maybe they should have been a bit more front foot. We certainly edged a terrible game but is that something to be happy about given our position? If it was a result amongst wins, we would of course be less critical but there are not enough goals in this team.

Mediocre FC heading for Division 4 Athletic

We are miles off where we should be, on and off the pitch. Depressing.
  • One point closer to safety!
  • Slow drift down into the relegation zone by the end of the month, Garner sacked by early November

It’s like you think relentlessly posting on a forum will actually make a difference to what the clubs management decide. They’re not on here mate, it’s just a bit of chat with fellow fans.

Oh. You mean this is all for nothing?

    f#@k you all then!

The truth is we don't know and if we don't know, we can't blame the officials for not knowing. If I had to make a call and my life depended on it I would say it went over but if I was the ref I would have to be 100% so couldn't give it. There was a comment that there was a penalty for the foul on Stockley. Indeed it was a clear foul but the decision was that he was offside which I think he was.
Thank you and agree on both points

How is it ridiculous?  We are moving down the table with every game.  We are 2 points from the relegation places.  We show no signs of being better than the position we are in.  As far as I can see we are in the same position we were in last season, and if we don't get a miraculous 10 game turnaround in form we have no reason to think we aren't going to spend the rest of the season just trying to stay above 21st.

I don't understand why JFC is not on the bench. If it is to do with his contract, which we opted to extend, it is outrageous and dare I say it unprofessional. If it isn't, why would we not explore what a midfielder who knows where the goal is might bring?
  • a very poor game slightly livened up by Leaburn who provided some threat before tiring. Hardly worth watching even on the TV

Spent £250 and counting on this. Still, the girlfriend got a good nap on my shoulder at least
You dragged your girlfriend to Lincoln away? That's impressive devotion on her part. I do hope you're planning to make it up to her later.
As I type we are sitting in Browns for the second time today, so....maybe?
  • Garner: With a similar record to Adkins, how long before Sandgaard pulls the trigger .. Boom 💥
  • I think Sandgaard must want to sell and is basically saving every penny he can. The reason this is not a positive is he probably wants money for something that isn't worth any money as it stands. We are a token £1 job if ever there was one. At least if he found somebody willing to pay that, he would stop losing money. And maybe we could be run properly for the first time in many, many years but I'm not holding my breath.
