  • Heard that, also said "we were very good without the ball." Ermm...
  • For what its worth we should have won that, we got away with a very light weighted midfield and actually looked half decent in small patches going forwards. That said Woolacot kept us in it with a proper save.

I cant lie, the second half sent me to sleep and as much as I love away games I'm so glad I wasn't there, it was shite.

  • Watched on stream that was the quietest our away fans have been in a while  , just dull as fuck that’s us

Poor game overall. Neither side looked like they wanted to win. been convinced wed stay up all season, but our inability to turn draws into wins is starting to concern me.

Random thought - CBT is a talented player on his day, but he looks like he's completely given up. Can't see him playing too many more games for us
No one gives up like that, surely?
He fought hard to get a chance with us, but many more performances like that and he’s finished. I doubt he’s got a nice job on the trading floor lined up though, so he must be desperate to do well.
It’s either nerves, or general lack of confidence I reckon. Do we have a sports psychologist? I doubt it.

Edit:: OMG Rayleen has a PhD in Counselling Psychology: https://www.linkedin.com/in/raelynnmaloneyphd/
Been tapped up would be my guess

Spent £250 and counting on this. Still, the girlfriend got a good nap on my shoulder at least
You dragged your girlfriend to Lincoln away? That's impressive devotion on her part. I do hope you're planning to make it up to her later.
As I type we are sitting in Browns for the second time today, so....maybe?
Had a table booked for 19.30 last night there, but the other half didnt fancy the hike up the street, even though we  had taxis ordered there and back so had to cancel.

Actually, it started pretty loud but went downhill after that. Got to give credit to the drummer. He did his best but with that crap on the field it was a grind.

Did Leaburn shot go over the line or not?
    Looks ike it.
    What?
The photo clearly shows it did not (other photo evidence may show different).
The whole of the ball has to over the line.
That photo does but it is not a freeze frame. The keeper has his hand on the ball so we really need to see a photo before the hand got there to be sure.
  • The photo neither shows clearly that the ball did or didn't go over the line. It's a still not showing the actual movement of the ball.

Wtf is the point is wasting more money, sacking another manager that you've not backed... just not going to happen.
Don't count on it not happening, the only thing for certain is that Sandgaard will not accept blame.
I've been thinking for some time and J Sandguard's  tweets have reinforced that view, that it won't be long before he starts blaming the fans
That would explain his grand scheme, shit team, shit ticket pricing = less fans = less blame.

Garner: With a similar record to Adkins, how long before Sandgaard pulls the trigger .. Boom 💥
Don’t see that happening. Garner isn’t the problem and TS will not want to pay the compensation.

If Sandgaard is cutting everything he can, which seems evident, he is not going to pay off Garner, however low the amount it would cost will be.

Remember Sandgaard didn't want to sack Adkins, but the results were so dire, and confidence was being drained from the side that he had little choice, even then it went on longer than it needed too. Jackson then changed the system, yes, the one that was forced on Adkins and Garner, and we climbed the table, until the home game against Wycombe when our forwards were then out of action for almost three months. If Garner was to be sacked it would be for one reason and that reason is because Garner has dared to play 442 in order to get wins and move the side away from the bottom of the table, problem with that now is we only have one forward in Stockley after letting Washington go. That decision was, by all accounts, made because the incoming manager might not want him, in interviews since Garner was asked if he regrets losing Washington, he answered no but I think that was because he was told he could get a replacement which never materialised.

True, and anyone better will probably be more expensive anyway.

A clean sheet was good but anything else would have been a travesty given Lincoln were as toothless as we were upfront.

Chuks will be our saviour!  :#

The lack of them is what's frustrating him. He's desperate to increase turnover and is doubting our fans commitment, but it's not a sensible ploy to openly question it as his son appeared to. Winding ours up doesn't end well.

  • Only my second game this season (Wednesday being the first) and we seem to be getting worse. It's the simple things that we can't seem to do, control the ball make a pass, it isn't that difficult. And the movement off the ball is terrible. It is so frustrating to watch. I would expect an under 11 team to do better than they did!

We had a good start to both halves but from there it all went wonky donkey. Egbo was the only positive for me and if we can keep both full backs fit plus Innis then hopefully things may improve and we can build on a more solid back line. I know I am cltching at straws but I live in hope!

Not sure how Garner thought the team didn't deserve to be booed. He was obviously watching a different game. Four shots with one on target against a side who only had one on target themselves. It is difficult and unfair to single out individual players because as a team we really need to do better. Going to be a long season!!

Well he came in with universal fan backing and sky high levels of goodwill and he's managed to blow it.
Maybe the fans commitment mirrors his own.
  • Nothing has been forced on Garner, a patient passing from the back style is what he wants to play, it's not as if he secretly would rather play direct football or counter attack football.

Indeed my concern is that you'd expect us to be playing this style better by now, two months into the season, when we're actually going backwards.

    Whats he been saying ?
  • Club's even draining the life out of these poor souls!

Can we get Dr Raelyn to talk to Brownie? He looks terrible!
  • I feel like Brownie is anything but a Charlton supporter. Constantly says how disappointing our opponents are, never talks up our good stuff anymore (it's limited I know.)

    He's been "Oohaah'd".
  • I like Garner overall but it’s a worry how many players appear to be going backwards.

CBT - has the potential to be a huge threat in this division but has been off the pace recently and dropped to a new low yesterday.

Stockley - scored 18 goals last season but is not half the same player this year.

DJ - showed glimpses of quality when he first joined but now looks lost and frozen out (even before his recent injury)

Lavelle - showed promise when he came back from injury last year but has looked unconfident and shakey throughout this season.

How have so many suddenly turned so bad? (In any formation we play).

Ben & Scott definitely have their work cut. Its clear that many are in desperate need of a morale / confidence boost.
  • Big positive for me: Inniss. Playing 90 minutes most weeks and playing really, really well. A terrific defender and distribution improving. Make him skipper, seriously
