and just another thought I know its more complicated than this but  @Airman Brown talks about no alternatives but a lot of other clubs have gone into admin which we haven't, and have come out better, and they are above us. Every time we avoid admin (since the prem years) we lose assets, or pile on more debt or both. #justsayin

anyway hope its something good as something needs to change the current direction of travel, I unfortunately am triple booked so not likely to be coming now I live out in the styx
  • Fans Forum meeting Thursday 8th December - 6pm
  • It’s definitely positive news. Where I part company with some though is the timescale being guessed at by some. Unless this is much closer to a fait accompli than being hinted at I think the summer is much more likely to be when something if anything might happen.
  • Just a little reign in on expectations, a little reminder it was Varney who brought us Tony Jiminez and Michael Slater.

After being advised that we would go into Admin without new owners.

I thought everyone had left twitter..

its the Carabo cup on a wet dark Wednesday night just before xmas, againt Brighton reserves, £15,

    might be a big ask
Brighton have a realistic chance of winning the cup and aren’t in any danger of going down or getting top four. I doubt it’ll be too weak a side.

And they gave us almost immediate success and Chris Powell in the first full season...

So the game he is hinting to us  to attend happens to be a couple of days AFTER the world cup final.

Perhaps it could indicate where a potential suitor is based or just that they are at the World Cup and won't be around until then

    Who knows....
The suitor clearly isn't Welsh, or else Peter would be encouraging us all to fill The Valley tomorrow.

I think people are dazzled by the success of Southampton, Bournemouth and Palace. But take a look at the list, and tell me how many are a success.

It's been said before, but Administration means a guaranteed points deduction & transfer embargo, no guarantee of a buyer (don't fret, we're too big for that!) credit rating trashed (it's probably crap anyway!) with suppliers unlikely to be paid what they're owed (but why should we care?)

If TS were to stop paying the bills tomorrow, which won't happen and in any case he's the main creditor, we'd be bottom by two points with no chance to spend in January, which would be a shame, but we'd be free from TS's ownership.

In recent memory, Wigan and Derby were both relegated in the seasons when they went into Admin and I'm sure others have been too, only to later bounce back. I'd like a quick turnaround in our fortunes though, so I'd prefer it if TS were to sell up now. He must be thinking about it.

Non season ticket holders calling holders put for not being committed.

Was 2011 worth the Roland years that followed?

Someone that has had their head so far up Thomas's, and Martin's, arse they could taste what they had for breakfast for 2 years suddenly demanding others turn up in the hope that they sell.

People who 48 hours ago couldn't give a French fried titty fuck about the game now making out its the biggest date in our destiny since the local elections.

    It's got it all.

If you were going anyway brilliant
    If your now going brilliant
If you can't go fair enough
If you weren't going and still have no intention of going on the back of a vauge tweet, that's good to.

Don't let anyone else tell you, or tell anyone else, that you aren't proper Charlton and don't "deserve" better.  You do.  We all do.

  • Well, whoever it is they'd better not be thinking about buying a scarf in the club shop.....unless it's a Castore logo'd one 😅😅😅
If they can afford the Castore gear, they must be properly minted!! 💰💰💰 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I think you can be excused. It's a fair trek to The Valley from the border of Earth and the underworld.

I’m sure if he wanted to expand on what he’s written he would. It’s perfectly obvious what his intention was - it’s signalling that there is interest, which is consistent with other information I and others have.

He’s not saying that the club has been sold or will be sold if 20,000 turn up for Brighton. He’s saying as much as he can.

PV is experienced enough to know what he was doing and that the next question after the Brighton game will be, “well?” - so you have to assume there is substance to it.

@AirmanAirman Brown" from what you’ve heard, is this a potential investor or a lock stock buyer?
     Vinnie knows….

  • Currently watching ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, feeling rather deflated seeing money spent in droves up in wales and seemingly bringing success!

Another season in league one beckons, so we really need to influence any potential takeover possible!

It is good enough to get me going to the game. I am desperate. We have had too many crooks or idiots running the club over a prolonged period. I will always support the club but have run out of patience for crooks and idiots.

What evidence do you have that PV has had his head up the Sandgaard’s arses…..before you say that, you ought to have significant evidence.
How come you know this but no one else has even hinted that they regularly converse with one other and even if it were to be true, why would he find it necessary to do so, how does he gain from it.
Do you know PV? Well I (amongst many others), do……being up anyones arse is far and away from his style of operating, no way would he do that.
You are simply shit stirring…..why do you find it necessary?
Incidentally.…..how have you read his missive as a demand, he’s just requesting that we do it, why put a totally bullshit spin on things?

Bournemouth were also lucky enough to have Eddie Howe.

I never said PV, nor implied PV had his head anywhere near Thomas's bottom.

Yes I know Peter and have known him for the best part of 35 years.  Well before he was involved at Charlton.

You have totally miss interrupted that part.

I was actually referencing CL arse licker in chief that thinks they are all his mates.

And no I don't mean the recent shirt sponsor before anyone jumps to that awful conclusion.
