    Ah, shame.

    Fine margins against a good opponent, although Coco Gauff wasn't at her best.

    Very unfortunate defeat for Emma - that level is good enough to beat almost anyone.

    Gauff continues her unbeaten start to 2023.

    Problem is the crash she has had since winning the US Open has hammered her ranking - so it is very difficult to build confidence and momentum up again when you are playing top players in round 2 of slams.
