  • All about decisions … wrong one made by the ref re Inniss sending off , our final decision today in the final third was sadly lacking .. and Holden decision to move Raki into centre mid and play Campbell wide when we went down 10 was wrong …….

In this system the key men are the wingers today they failed and created nothing the whole afternoon ( yes Raki scored but the rest was not good enough ) .. lost count how many great openings did CBT fail to turn into an opening for others … people moan at Bonne but the poor bloke getting no chances and no support from wide or mid where Kilkenny and Fraser need to get into the box much more .

Draw would have been a fair result first half we were by far the better team apart from wonder strike .. we had one of the line and settled into the game . The goal shocked us and Fleetwood had a good 5 mins … second half it turned scrappy , nasty game of football , Fleetwood great set peice for the second then the sending off that was crazy .. there was a foul to us leading up to it .. Ness was coming round behind Inniss the ref was to far away to make the call

then we seem to lose our way think this where Holden got it wrong .

  • We don’t move the ball quick enough against a team that sits deep. When AMB gets the ball there were plenty of times when we had 2v2 if he had played the  long ball immediately. If we are going to move the ball from side to side we have got to do it quicker, we just give the oppo the chance to reset.
  • When are we going to work out how to take throw ins quickly and keep the ball from them?
  • Post match interview with Holden seems worrying - we’re really in shit

"I've absolutely loved my time at this club but obviously we need to find out what it looks like going forward and have some good, honest conversations... I just want clarity in terms of what it looks like"
  • I don't blame Innis for that challenge, that's the sort of challenge he had to make.

It'll be interesting who plays on Tuesday, with the injury curse on our full backs. AMB was poor as well, playing us into trouble with some terrible kicking, so will Jojo come back? Morgan will surely return to give us some fresh legs, can CBT play again after a full 90 etc
  • The number of times our wingers slowed things down and allowed their defence to reset themselves was beyond embarrassing. Yes sometimes being decisive and taking a risk will mean losing the ball - but a high percentage of times it will lead to a goal scoring opportunity.

3/4 full backs injured and the fit one with a dodgy knee that has to be managed. Good job we have loads of fit CB’s so we can play 3 at the. Back ……oh

  • If ever there was a Lord Mayor's show, that was after it
  • Penney looked lost. Cant cross and can't win the ball and his first touch was non existent.

Aneke showed what he can do but for how long will that last?

Innis red was never a sending off. Ref was fucking terrible.

Bonne had 0 support and was up against a couple of lumps and still won headers...he needs support.

End of the day, our fault they scored 2 goals..let them shoot and matey had a free header.

Need a result against Forest Green or we could see a slump.
Spot on. I’d add that Clare was having one of his best games before he was injured. And say what you like about Inniss, but we need that aerial dominance. Ness, much as I’d rate him, doesn’t have that as part of his game yet.
One bonus is that some of the poor performers are on short contracts at least.
  • Penney can’t even trap a ball. Swear he’d make me look fucking good and I’m awful.
Christ alive, anyone got Purringtons number?
  • The pitch was atrocious, bobbly and cut up quickly. The whole team played pretty poorly, did not adapt to the conditions. Bonne was non existent, although pretty isolated playing up front on his own but he could not hold the ball up to bring others into play.
I don't really want to single Penny out after 3 games but he was really poor. Misplaced passes, beaten too easily, didn't win his headers, dreadful crossing, I could go on!
Midfield couldn't compete and as previous recent matches failed to compete for the second ball. Fraser was anonymous in the first half, but had a decent 20 mins midway in second, driving us forward, but again final pass lacking. Performance on par with Oxford away.
Bringing Chuks on gave us forward momentum for 10 mins, but that soon fizzled out.
Their second goal, a header from a corner was horrendous, not a Charlton player within 3-4 metres.
I thought Inness's sending off was harsh, with covering defenders racing back, but only seen it once, live. A replay will show if I'm looking through Charlton coloured glasses😟
The ref started ok, but as the game progressed he became more and more crap, losing the plot towards the end.
No real MoM from me, they were all average to poor, although Dobbo added significantly to his tackle count, trying to shore up a failing midfield. I thought Kilkenny was having a decent game but was then subbed, which made us weaker in midfield imo.
To add insult to injury my train is delayed by half an hour😭
  • Wonder if Penney’s injury was real. Happened immediately after a completely disastrous moment.

I think everyone on here is of the same opinion and I think Holden is too. Without a new owner then this club is in trouble. Our top scorer won't be here after this season, that will be the same for Sessegnon as well. If Sandgaard remains the he will accept bids for our young players and any bids for Fraser or Dobson will be accepted as well. As for the performance on the pitch, well when this team wins it punches above it's weight, we have seen so many of these performances this year but I just wonder if the fact that Sandgaard is still in control has got to the players.
  • Sounds really crap.

Here's a picture of some clean dishes and cups to cheer you up.

Felt a bit sorry for him today. He was obviously having a nightmare from the off. Should have been hooked at half time.

Well that was a poor performance . We looked slow to react to break down balls. Little movement off the ball and then the ling passing except from Dobson very poor.
Of the new boys I Di nor rTe Penny and Kilkeny was anonymou.
Bone is the Bone I remember from his last time here.
Only Raku and Dobson above for us in the game.
    Come again?
  • Penney is two bob
    That’s far too generous..

  • Oh dear.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

    Oh dear.

It may not have been a sending off, but did Innis really need to dive into that tackle? Could he not have just stayed on his feet.

We lost, and the main reason we lost is that Fleetwood played like a team, and outfought us in every department, they never let us settle with the ball, harried and pressurised us at every opportunity, agreed with a large slice of help from yet another useless ref, but we were second best all over the park today.
Again we started brightly but without creating any real threat with the inevitable outcome that they take the lead with a long range shot that AMB really should have saved, he got his hand to it but let it past him, JRS again came to our rescue with yet another lovely finish on 45 minutes, and we all hoped for more in the second half, but instead another gift gives them all three points.
Don't think the Innis red card was correct, and hope an appeal is put in asap, so onto Tuesday we go to FGR, let's hope that everyone plays as a team rather than the hotchpotch of strangers that turned up today...

I was so so happy when we signed Penny.
Having  a proper left back playing at left back.
Having seen him a couple of times I think I could do a better job.
    I'm 67 by the way
Have you got any boots, and available Tuesday.. ;)

Shouldn’t we be more asking how he ended up in that position on his own when we were attacking a few seconds earlier ?
  • You get what you pay for in life & as we don't want to pay for players then we get shit. Loads on here said in the summer & again last month that failing to construt a proper squad means you will struggle. Holden the saviour...???  Thanks to him we now dont have proper cover for the injured full backs & the suspended CH. And then swapped one non goalscoring forward for another. Oh for the days of Killer, Super Clive or Darren Bent.

Game was proper poo. Can't believe fans cheering at half time just because we scored in injury time. Said it would end like Bolton & I was right. I even predicted 1-2 on the preview thread. But apparently I dont know what I'm talking about. Sky know their facts though. Its now 33 games......and that's under 3 different managers. I'll only praise a manager when they get that hoodoo off our back. I expect Holden to be scuttling off after his chums soon anyway so I wont have to wait long before manager no 4 has a go of turning around a 1 goal deficit.

Wont be going much anymore. Will go Saturday week as I want to see the Champions elect but after that I'll rather put pins in my eyes. Never seen such crap down The Valley in my 50 years supporting the club.
