I'd sell McGrandles, DJ and maybe Kirk but he's played well in our friendlies. Would love to sell Chuks but can't see anyone taking him, so hopefully we can finally get his injury troubles sorted.
I hope we sign a RWB and a ST
The club would love to sell those three, but nobody will pay a fee for them, I bet we are struggling to get them away on frees! We will probably have to pay a percentage of their salaries to lose them. I think we may decide to keep Kirk. IMHO
Can see us keeping Kirk until a forward comes in at least.
Kirk is one of our weakest players I’ve ever seen, so flimsy it’s unreal…clearly didn’t want to get hurt last night, bottled everything which looks even worse in pink f**king boots
Bit of an exaggeration, seeing he nipped in and scored when the ball was almost on the toes of their Centre-Back
Henry is a weird one, wasn't it seen as a coup getting him to sign another contract? But now he looks very much surplus. Hopefully not another Morgan trajectory of being on the fringes and not developing. Would benefit from a Scott Parker style loan.
Kirk flatters in pre-season, he's done it before. I'd shift but probably not until we've got a striker in as he can at least do a job until then. DJ to go, maybe one of the young CBs.
Been impressed with Asiimwe and Anderson, but glad we're bringing another CM option in for rotation and might be worth giving Anderson at least six months of regular men's football out on loan. Would want another RWB in before loaning Asiimwe out though.
For me striker has got to be the urgent priority. At the moment we're lining up with wingers up front, and no natural partner for May. The whole time we're working on shape, it's not even the shape we presumably want to play.
Can't believe the shite luck of Miles getting injured in literally our first PSF, or Reading having their embargo lifted just in time to beat us to Smith.
No. Most people were surprised he was offered one.
Personally think that Anderson and Asiimwe deserve a crack at the first team right now. Id loan Henry and Mitchell out for sure. As it looks like Taylor is heading in then imagine Anderson will go somewhere for 6 months but Asiimwe should be staying 100%.
Potentially of course its possible but I would presume that McGrandles is seen as the more expendable if we have any choice in the matter.
That said we're probably not in a position to turn down a really good offer for Dobson if it comes in, but while I would be sad to see him go on a personal level (and definitely don't WANT him gone) we're no longer in the position where him going pretty much ends our season.
I'd persist with Kirk.. Looked homesick to me in his first season. Happens a lot. Definitely a player in there. Hopefully he's more settled in his surroundings now and we can get the best out of him.

Technically he’s good. I just don’t think he’s very effective.
Why does this keep coming up, he is our cap'n and first name on the team sheet, IF Taylor does sign, he can challenge for a place, but no player should get guaranteed time, so Dobbo has to and will still be our cap'n this season..imo...we can't afford to lose Dobbo that's the bottom line
Dane Scarlett is probably the profile of striker we'll be looking at on loan , PL loanee that's had a spell somewhere before so isn't totally raw but still needs a lot of work.
This will be one of the litmus tests for the new lot if you ask me. Having a squad with both Thomas and Dobbo is certainly showing some serious ambition
Competition for places was big on Curbs squads. And I mean serious competition. Not Morgan for Dobbo
Watch the interview he did last night. He’s going nowhere.
People always seem to think when we sign decent competition it’s because we want to sell the other player. Competition for places is good and healthy 👍

And lost his dad suddenly the day or two before he signed
All of you giving DJ the boot...sure, he's not set SE7 alight at any stage, but if we're playing 3-5-2, doesn't it make sense to have someone knocking around who credibly covers both wing-back positions?
I really hope we don't move McGrandles on. If we do sign Taylor then we'll have Taylor and Dobson competing for the holding spot, Fraser and Payne at 10 and Camara and McGrandles in the other midfield role. That's some solid squad building there. Henry hasn't shown anything and while Anderson has looked good he's still very young and shouldn't be relied on to push Camara for that spot, especially as Camara isn't that far removed from a serious injury. Ideally Anderson can appear in cup games and here and there in the league. We need to move away from our old system of having a promising youth player and then harming their development by making them essential rather than protected. If Camara gets injured and Anderson gets too much pressure put on him there's a good chance he'll go backwards, same with Asiimwe. Two players in every position with youngsters as extra backups given the chance to stake their claim but not required to, that's the dream.
If anyone does get dropped I wonder if it will be Fraser. Camara doesn't score a lot of goals but he's capable of driving the team forward, as opposed to Fraser who is more about the intricate link up play. I think Holden might prefer that more direct approach with more defensive cover from Dobson and Taylor.
I do think stuff like this is a great example of how battered we've been as fans. We all scream for cover in every position, especially with our injury record, but then as soon as we sign that competition people start panicking that it means we're losing the player already in that spot, mostly because going back to Roland that has always been the case. The Fraeye 'you only need 11 players to play football' thing has become a club philosophy through multiple owners but it doesn't have to be the case here. If Dobson gets injured or tired or fat or we find a better player then we need that player to come in, and ideally that player will also be quality. When Dobson wasn't doing it for Adkins we panicked and brought in what was left of Harry Arter despite him barely being fit to play. I hope Taylor is so good Dobson doesn't get a look in, because that would mean we've found a great player, but I also hope whichever player keeps the spot is pushed higher and higher knowing there's a proper player waiting on the bench instead of a broken down old man or an 18 year old who hasn't played a league game before. You know, like at a normal club.
