Also used to play for Inter.

In your pursuit of wumming and/or rose tinted goggles, you would suffer any old s***. Your posts are a nonsense.

That Leaburn post, to a cynical weary fan, might look like the softening up for no striker signings next week news.
Or it’s just a random positive social media post about one individual player returning to training.

Miles returning is good news when good news is thin on the ground.0
-
returning to full training but he's missed all pre season so I don't expect to see him involved for another three/four weeks.7

Curbs would say that Leaburn will be like a new signing for us1

I want to put on record that I have no views on Cosgrove.2

Is that 2 weeks in a row Reams has said we will sign a striker before the end of the week? He also said we’d signed Nombe. Maybe next week he will get it right. Broken clock comes to mind…9

Wonder if Miles being 2-3 weeks off will adjust any potential targets? Will we try and " get by" with Chem Campbell playing central for a bit and add a PL kid instead of Cosgrove?0

I could be wrong of course... Sorry, I am usually wrong, but I predict we are heading towards a standard transfer window slamming shut for Charlton.
The Leaburn news is the key I feel.
Couple of "Who da fuck?" Prem loans at last knockings is the best I think we can hope for, with the kick in the bollox being our dead weight will remain OUR dead weight!
I get no joy from Charlton anymore, desensitised, battered and bruised as I am.7 -

It wouldn't be super exciting as signings go but it makes sense to me.
When have Charlton ever had two out and out goal scorers?
Hales and Flanagan.
Tees and Tracey
Hales and Horsefield.
played about 70 games together scoring between them 57goals 73/74 &74/75.6 -

The cynic in me says they've announced Leaburn is close back to the team to also soften the blow.
In regards to Reams gents it's been said a thousand times, why do we keep bickering about him? He's put a rumour up, if it's wrong it's wrong. Doesn't change anything for anyone. It's a never ending sniping battle and it's unnecessary30 -
Miles is still growing into his body and seems prone to picking up the odd niggly injury as a result. I don't necessarily think this is the case, but if the club have looked at him being nearly fit again and decided that means we no longer need a striker, then that would be mad. We need to be able to rest and rotate Miles, quite aside from the fact his record suggests we can't yet rely on him being fit every week.4

Do we want a dickhead who scores 20 plus goals a season though - and is proven at this level? It would be peak Charlton to pass up signing a player with his goal scoring record because something.
Those who follow rugby union will see a parallel here...a few years back England under previous regimes refused to pick Dylan Hartley at hooker. After all he had a poor disciplinary record at club level and consequently some of the suits at the RFU didn't quite like the cut of his gib. A change of coach to Eddie Jones who had no problems with Dylan Hartley and England started winning matches again.
Maybe we need to step out of our comfort zone?0
