Karoy came on as a 74th minute sub in Dallas against the US.
Jamaica were winning 0-1 until a 96th min own goal. USA went on to win 3-1 after extra time.
Hector played the full 120 minutes in a back three.
Telling how poor a team is if Hector is the inchpin.
That was their Nations League semi final, after they beat Canada in the quarter final. Jamaica have been a much better side in last year or so…
I was right again.
There was a reason Hector was let go.
What do you mean? Jamaica are a good side, regardless of what anyone thinks of Hector.
Michael Hector who is shite and was recently released by one of the worst teams in league one is a key player for them. That isn't an opinion, but a fact.
No they are not a good side. Do you think Charlton are a good side?
Calling him a key player because he played one match of 120 minutes (and did well) is a massive stretch, when he was only one of two players at League One level or worse in the starting XI. He wasn’t in the squad at all until recently.
His two recent centre back partners are both playing at Championship level & they have Premier League and Ligue 1 players in their attacking options.
They finished third in the latest CONCACAF tournament behind only USA and Mexico who are both very good international teams.
They are 55th in the current world rankings, ahead of countries like Ireland, Slovenia, Albania, Ghana and Bosnia.
But yeah Jamaica aren’t a good side.
It will be interesting to see how they get on at Copa America this summer. Their group contains Mexico, Ecuador and Venezuela.
Came on for the second half of Jamaicas 1-0 win over the Dominican Republic in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifier. Michael Hector, late of this parish, played the first 71 minutes.
Charlton Athletic midfielder Karoy Anderson earned his full international debut last week following a breakout first season at SE7.
Anderson featured in both of Jamaica’s opening matches of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, helping the Reggae Boyz earn back-to-back victories.
The 19-year-old came off the bench and played 45 minutes in Jamaica’s 1-0 win over the Dominican Republic before earning his first international start just three days later.
Like this lad,in my opinion,an ideal replacement for Dobson, plenty of energy,a good tackler(He wont get as many cards),and maybe a bit more than Dobbo on the ball.

22nd June vs. Mexico (2am KO)
26th June vs. Ecuador (11pm KO)
30th June vs. Venezuela (1am KO)
Hope he has a great Tournament, great opportunity for him - Boyce-Clarke was on loan @ Welling a couple of years ago
Side note: Hector came off the bench in the 68th minute and Mexico scored the winning goal in the 69th minute…
Sarmiento and Hector also on the pitch.
Interesting to see Canada made it through. Either USA or Panama will probably as well. The rest will all be actual South American Teams.
