Who on earth decided that it was good idea to throw the team up for a throw in the 84th minute? Embarrassing! Manage the game and take the point and stop the bad run!! Not us, we get undone with one player at the back. He has to go.15

I cannot believe it but we are actually sinking lower.
Forget defensive duties after 80 mins.

and it was incredibly embarrassing at the time0 -
MASSIVE last week of the window now
time for the new owners to cough up show some ambition and bring 3/4/5 quality additions in
Otherwise it will be another long hard season
feel for holden having to rely on youngsters
who else can he play instead it wont be kirk Jaiyesimi or Mcgrandles as they look to be leaving hopefully
T Taylor isnt fit and payne never does anything of note everytime he plays
deary me🤦🏻♂️5 -
I wouldn't be surprised if Holden is under instructions to advance as many youngsters as he can. This is part of the masterplan of developing and selling our youngsters for millions ( Rodney )
Too many youngsters and not enough QUALITY experienced seniors. Here we go again.............14 -
We played some nice stuff. We played some shote stuff.
Oxford were better and will no doubt be up there at the end of the season.2 -
Worst part is we could've easily lost to Orient.I cannot believe we've assembled a defensive unit so weak. I would honestly question if the majority of our defensive options should be regulars in League One.
Do feel for Asiimwe and Anderson. Lots of talent but not ready to be first choice currently.7 -

Holden just said we deserved more…6

I know Terry can't ask Holden any really difficult questions but blaming everything on bad luck is a bit soft.3

I’m on holiday with my wife and GD …. I have to block this shit out. I think I’ve not felt as low since the Selhurst years0

Couldn't go to the game in the end and watched the stream from35 mins.
Terrible in almost every way, although there were periods in the second half when we threatened. Nice goal for Alfie.
We're 19th now.
Hate to see a manager being sacked, but it looks like there's no plan and they're making it up as they're going along. Lack of discipline, lack of shape, poor formation, square pegs in round holes. Also, lack of experience. As Curbs says, there's only May and Dobbo that have played more than 100 games.
Will Holden be given a chance to get a win on the board against Fleetwood?2 -

August, the season is effectively over.
Please get rid of Holden and all of the injured, deadwood and uninterested players we are carrying. Bring in at least 6 quality players this week. I know it wont happen.
Charlton optimist supporters please wake up and take a good look at the club. It is in serious trouble and has been for several years. It is embarrassing the way fans get all over excited every time a new owner, manager or two bob journeyman signs on. As for the youth, they are not that good. I will be amazed if any go on to play above this level. Remember my words, the end is nigh for our beloved club.6 -
That first half was total and utter garbage. From the lack of application from the players to the completely baffling tactics. We were lucky not to be 3 down at half time and that woudn't have flattered Oxford. They swarmed all over us and there was no reaction at all from the bench until 5 mins before half time.
The second half was better, but lets be honest, it couldn't have really gotten any worse.
The fact that we have been done in the last 5 mins (again) in an almost identical manner to the Port Vale game is utterly inexcusible.
I remember calling Holden a "no mark" when he came in, his talking had sort of won me round, but increasingly he is looking like a coach/manager who has failed everywhere he has been. Tactically he seems clueless and listening to him talking now he seems pretty deluded and is talking a load of crap.
If he isn't under pressure after 5 defeats on the spin at this level, then something is seriously wrong.
For me the youth experiment needs to end now or at the very least be scaled back. Anderson was really poor today and Asimwe is ready to be rotated out of the team.
Ironically this was the one interview where I wouldn't have minded too much if Holden has mentioned the referee. Penalty in the first half? Hand ball in the build up to their first goal?
Hopefully Dabo comes in this week along with a couple of physically imposing leaders and perhaps a premier league loanee wild card.
Thankfully I have a hospital appointment at 2pm next week so won't have to suffer the Fleetwood game.5 -

Huge week for our new leadership team. It really is season defining.1

Today has worried me because I think you could give Holden the 90s Italy back line at their peak and he wouldn't be able to get them organised enough to not concede. He played 5 different centre backs today. Five! In two different formations! He may not have the players he wants but bloody hell, pick a shape, pick players in their roles, give them clear instructions and stick to it. I'm fine with him bringing Deji 2 in on the face of it, but if everyone immediately looks confused then you can bring Ruben Dias in and it's not going to make a difference. This team continues to look like every time the opposition gets the ball they're terrified and, worse, confused. How can we start the season with our defenders clearly having no idea what to do? I'm never a big one for sacking the manager as if it will fix everything but I am seriously worried that Holden was able to get us just about mid-table with JRS in the squad dependent on if he helped us barely score more than we conceded, it means that we're only a few unsuccessful attacking signings short of disaster. I think he uses the young players as a crutch as well; easier to justify failure if you're throwing in as many teenagers as you can but it doesn't do them any favours. People will laugh but I'd honestly rather see McGrandles get a bit of a run than just throw Anderson in to get driven into the ground game after fame because he's out of his depth. He'll want the squad to have a different profile before the end of this window but I really hope he's worrying less about who the owners are getting in on loan and a lot more about whether he's equipped to actually coach a team to defend. Quite worrying times

Big week coming up. Get it wrong and we could quite unbelievably be bang in trouble. New owners have set a budget and it’s not enough for us to progress and seemingly not enough for us to tread water. We’re going backwards fast. SMT and Holden have got things spectacularly wrong so far. Five days to turn it around.6
