The balance of the team is wrong and it was wrong before the wheels fell of our most consistent white ball bowler. Looking at the make up of the squad he was the one they expected to always play.

It's as if we've decided to play attacking test cricket all of a sudden and stopped doing it in the white ball game. That was such a feeble batting performance. Personally i'm not sure Buttler is the right person for captain.0

Perhaps it's because we don't have a county tournament for the best 50-over players - they're too busy wearing bright-coloured kit and playing for under 17 overs.6

I wasn't sure that he was when he was appointed but think that he has done OK up until this tournament where his decision making appears to have created doubt. What I would also say is that it appears to be affecting his keeping too. That first ball was so lazy from him in that he didn't stay low when moving across and then had to try and dive to stop the ball which was going the other way. That one went for four, another wide that he should have stopped went for a single and he then missed a stumping. The batting has been bizarrely passive though. If the top order had got out slogging as if it was a T20 or 100 game, that might have made sense.

Again, to back up your previous point, the big difference between T20 and 50 overs. This really is Butler's first test as a ODI captain and not sure he has done much right.Addick Addict said:

Still reckon we'd have won this if we'd batted first and put a total up without the pressure of a chase.
But to be honest a win here would have papered over the cracks. The bowling attack is nowhere near good enough to win this tournament and our batting has been strangely subdued compared to how we usually play. Not a very good combination.1 -

Brooks doing it . That leaves leaves Livingston or Milan and neither are obvious choices . We definitely won’t have a bowler as captain .Incidentally we’ve had more runs scored against us than any other team in this World Cup . 794 . Every member of the ECB should fall on his/her sword after this pathetic performance, which was always on the cards.
A complete overhaul of cricket in England is required and it's time they took their heads out of the sand where they're currently but unsuccessfully trying to hide.
