  • 111 - the dreaded score!! Umpire Shepherd would've been standing on one-leg all night!! Let's hope we can get an early run without losing a wicket first this morning!!
  • Leaning gone!

    Or not!
  • And it's raining in Canterbury so off they go

    144-4

Oh bloody hell! Only just seen this, flipping typical. Nelson, as its known, strikes again!!
  • Back on!
  • Elsewhere the scores are way lower than in the first 2 games, but Warks have an impressive 401-5 against Hampshire, showing they can score runs with the Dukes ball as well!
  • 50 partnership off 71 balls between Garrett and Denly

    161-4

  • Denly chops a ball onto his own stumps from Steel for 32 (40). Garrett doing a superb job as nightwatchman for 40* (74)

    182-5
  • 192-5 at lunch

    Garrett     43* (79)
    Finch         7* (7)

  • He hasn't played many FC matches, but that's Garrett's top score by quite a margin. His previous best was 24.
  • Garrett somehow only the third highest-scoring nightwatchman unbeaten at lunch in Div 1!
  • Finch caught at slip by Sibley off the bowling of Clark for 9 (11)

    195-6
  • Lunch has been unkind to the nightwatchmen
  • Garrett caught trying to work one down the legside by Foakes off Steel for an excellent 48 (101)

    205-7
  • Parkinson, with a dozen ball duck, fails to trouble the scorers - stumped by Foakes off Steel

    213-8
  • 3 wickets for Steel now, which feels a bit careless in the first innings in April

To be fair to Steel, he now has 17 wickets to his name and is the leading wicket taken in the country. He must be doing something totally different to virtually every other spinner in the country.
  • Evison strangled down the legside, caught by Foakes off the bowling of Lawes for 30 (54)

    239-9
  • I think it's fair to say that Jas can't read Steel's wrongun!

244 all out and no batting points

Meanwhile absolute carnage in the IPL.

SRH are 103-0 after 5 overs. The fastest ever 100 in the IPL. Head 62* (20) & Abhishek 40* (10)

Edit - 125-0 off 6 overs. The highest Power Play score in the history of T20
  • Watching us bowl is utterly depressing and even more so than the tripe Charlton are offering up. We couldn’t bowl out teams in the Kent league, let alone Surrey twice
  • 33-0 off 10 overs at tea

It isn't great but then things might have been different had we had Bartlett, Agar and Cohen as our three seamers. Add the others who are missing, namely, Gilchrist, Quinn, Stewart, Swanepoel and Klaassen and that's eight that are unavailable.
  • It’s always the same case with Kent though? Would’ve been different IF this and that didn’t happen etc, it’s just the same story every season.
Jordan cox said he was fed up spending so much time out in the dirt every time each team batted against us and its once again happening again which just strengthens the case of his move to Essex. I would still say the same if Quinn and Stewart were playing, they still wouldn’t get the 20 wickets required

    It's all about the money!
  • 147-1, the collapse is on...
  • Burns caught Crawley bowled Garrett

    147-1
  • 185-1 off 50 overs at close. Surrey are 59 runs behind.
