Show jumping: After Ben Maher and Harry Charles the pressure on the last rider was immense and Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson were cool and foot perfect. Brash comes across as a modest man. 🥇🥇🥇🐴🐴🐴
Does anyone know why the sailing kicks off with a static start?
Part of the excitement is missed. Boats coming in from different angles, various speeds, and as the clock counts down, change the angle of wind and sail with immediate acceleration up to full speed.
Also, races are far too short. There is no opportunity to gamble on taking course on the other side of a beat, with a view to getting a different wind vector.
Just won a silver in the rowing, with the world's most annoying BBC commentary team who gave it to the UK at 200m.
Actually I feel the standard of BBC commentators has been pish-poor this year, and I really cant see how Jeanette Kwakye warrants a sofa position. Shes no Des Lynham, more Des O'Connor with her fake laughter.
The female rowing commentator has the most annoying high-pitched schreech of a voice. I'm sure I recognise it from football on the BBC. I have to turn the volume down or off when it's her commentating.
I....particularly.....hate.....the.....stressing......of........one.......word.......from.......the.....next reminds me of the old Clubcall stretching how long you had to wait on the phone.
That's why I think that I've heard her doing football because she does exactly the same there.

Impressive how well we've done in the swimming with the lack of facilities we have.
Indeed, just the 796 public swimming pools to train at, including 53 that are Olympic length (50m).
The UK has 14 Olympic size pools (50x25m) with a 15th being built in Cambridge. Paris has 20.
Plus 41 other 50 metre pools, including University of Bath and Manchester Aquatic Centre which aren't too bad at turning out decent swimmers. We are fortunate that in the Olympics they swim lengths rather than widths.
Plus 796 other pools, the vast majority of which host swimming clubs that build the strength we have in the sport.
so are the majority of our 50m pools narrower than an olympic one? or not deep enough?

I had no idea who was in the lead from above with all the graphics, how the hell did they know which way to go!?
You couldn't find a podium that could accommodate numerous horses at slightly different levels.
and who would take the selfie?
Good job Rory is playing for ireland this week. No need to agonise over his poor play this weekend.
Olympics games.
Big Ted talk like Thierry Henry and has charisma and var var voom with the French crowds who chant his name.
