  • Gary Caldwell in that video saying they were beaten by the better side...correct
and two poor goals in the second half...wrong
TC and Miles, worked the space well and took their chances magnificently, we just opened them up like a sardine can,...poor goals, wake up man they were great goals...

A good day at the office - TC back on form, Anderson very good and looked more composed, Leaburn looking really up for it and everybody else continuing their good form and putting last week's deflater at Birmingham behind them. Bums on seats was much more like it and crowd will continue to grow with the 3pm ko's and good performances. Real competition in virtually every department of the pitch now. Only an injury to a key player can derail us now. Jones, TC and Small will be hard to replace, then Coventry in order of importance to the way we play. Ramsey is a fantastic player but lose one of those 4 will be hard to recover from.

Birmingham will hopefully soften Orient up on Tuesday at St Andrews. Apparently Stansfield is back for that one.
It seems like the O’s have played a lot recently. Hopefully they’re out of gas by Saturday.

Impressed by us, but Exeter were pretty poor. It was nice of them to play Josh Magennis's old slower brother instead yesterday. Only player of theirs that I thought was any good was their 21 Trevitt - I have just looked him up and see he is a Brentford loanee.

Leaburn does not look a happy chappy. Just frustration at not starting or a sign that he doesn’t really want to be here anymore. He looked good when came on and took his goal well but his general demeanor in recent weeks appear to suggest he’s ready to move on?
If Miles is really “unhappy” based on nothing more than his facial expression on camera, what does this tell us about the mental state of Jay Stansfield?

If there is one thing Miles might be justifiably “unhappy” about it would be the torrent of ignorant bollocks writtten about him by some people on here during the autumn. Hopefully he never bothers to come on here.
Looks happy here at the end of the game.

Exeter Number 6 looked like he was sponsored by a pastie company.

One of Exeter’s subs looked like Mitch from modern family, which provided some entertainment in the second half.

Ramsay. And what great passer he is, especially for a defender.

I also have another tactical insight about us!! I am a little concerned that Josh Edwards often gets exposed one on one with the opposing winger. He is a good full/wing back. but several times today there were no other Charlton defenders/ midfielders supporting him. I have always felt that to stop dangerous crosses coming into the box, you should generally have two defenders against one. We tend to have that down the other side of the pitch with the Ramsay/Small combination, but who is Edwards support player? I don't really want to see Macca dragged out of the center, so should it be Tyreece, but I don't want to see him lose his attacking threat. Josh often deals with the situation, but a couple of times crosses did come in, and against more potent opposition this may be an issue.
Perhaps Jones thinks its risk and reward, but it is a concern for me.
If Berry was more mobile it could be him

Ramsey. Intercepted the ball, drove forward, then slid an inch perfect pass for Miles to run onto. I fear if we don't go up this season, we'll be hard pushed to hang onto this gem of a player.

Going up or not, would be surprised to see Ramsay with us next year, he just oozes quality all the time pretty much

Orient have trouble at centre back, with Happe missing yesterday, they drafted REG in there. Happe had a great game at Wrexham and i think is part of their success. Then the other centre back Cooper got injured early second half, when they were 1-0 up. Sweeney covered, who is i think a very effective left wing back. Happe is out for 4 weeks so this could change everything for them.

This week's outlier in the player marks thread @Viewfinder. Slow day for me but genuinely interested in any rationale for these marks?

If Birmingham do a number on Orient like they did to us last week, they could be facing us off the back of a couple of defeats. Going to be an absolute slobberknocker of a game next Saturday!
You're right, a real clamdangler of a game!
I think it could even be a Kurtwangler of a match.

Great win and I’m pretty sure we’ll make the play off final and lose on penalties , we’ve used all our lifetime’s worth of play off final luck up in 1987-1998-2019
it’s unbelievable how we have one from so piss poor to absolutely rock solid and good , a transformation that I didn’t think was possible .
going in to games expecting a result now is an unfamiliar feeling , long may it continue !

Was in Bushes Bar early doors not sitting in my usual seat as some tourists had nabbed them. Himself banged out the Welsh national anthem to the locals delight and then that was it from him, poor lad.
From 3 o’clock I kept checking my mobile.
My school best friend twin daughters and their friend were with us, the friend is a Gooner, she kept checking her mobile too…….she wasn’t happy.
3 nil……….couldn’t believe it! And we won the triple crown!
    Happy Smudge 😎🤗😘😘

You are forgetting us getting knocked out of play-offs by Palace and Shrews, so it’s not all been plain sailing ……..

Entertaining for the mere fact that they didnt ease up even after 3-0. Jones and Coventry are essential to this battling character. This has Jones
