Went to Lords on Friday to watch a mate play for Middlesex before heading on to the Stone Roses gig at Finsbury Park. Sat 2 feet away on the tube was Mr Bailey holding a suitcase. By the time I realised it was him I was getting off the tube so just managed to say 'hello' before the doors shut. Wished I'd had longer to ask him if the rumours are true about him potentially coming back. Am I right in thinking he's a local lad anyway so may just be back down here post season seeing friends /family?

He's from down this way. Colleague at work used to play with him before he went professional.0

yep hes from hammersmith sort of way was out in ibiza last summer with a bloke i used to work with.0
-
Ah thought as much. Nothing more than a visit back home then I expect.0

Doesn't his brother live in Sydenham, or run a pub in Sydenham?0
-
His Missus parents ran the Bricklayers in Sydenham/Forest Hill and he stayed there when he first joined CAFC.
Think they've moved on since.0 -
not to sure mate, i dont work with his pal no more. all i know is that night after the famous miss he was in bits according to my mate.0

Yep they've all moved up north now, I was good mates with his brother in law and he moved away with the rest of his family a couple of years after Nicky's move to M'Boro. I can't see us signing him as his family are now all very settled up north.0

Lad I work with is a Shrimpers fan and only yesterday was talking about whether they'd make the start of the season. Living hand to mouth and have had several winding up orders from HMRC, where they are just scraping together to pay at the last possible moment (i.e. way after the final demand, just before proceedings). Would suspect any outlay at all will push them over the edge.roseandcrown said:0 -
“I´m realistic enough to know it could well come down to affordability and if we are able to meet his wage demands"
and a drop of two divisions.

I'm not sure what other offers he will get to be honest!0

It hardly squares with this story from last week unless they think he'll play for nothing.

@accordingtoaldo: #millwall been chasing midfielder Nicky Bailey. His other half now tweeting he is in London "dotting i's and crossing t's" on something.0

Baileys wife just tweeted @QueenBailey1986: Gotta have a pair of balls to enter a lion den0
-
Thats pretty much sealed that then0
-
She's also put something about talking to three other clubs.
I liked Bailey and think he'd be a good signing, but of the two being linked to Millwall, I'd be more disappointed if they got Jackson.0 -
She's an absolute nightmare0

Got a funny feeling these next fans are gonna be a bit different loooool #awaydays
I hope she likes violence and racism!0 -
Would be gutted to see Nicky Bailey in a Millwall shirt.0

Just the club for him. Yelling in the face of opposition player when captian for us (at the Valley, can't remember what game), and we went on to lose the game. A right charlie0

"Someone put a spanner in the works! Another 3 clubs to go! This weekend gonna be crazy then decision time for us. Who it going to be?"
Sounds like a nightmare.0 -
She also keeps mentioning spanners.

They're welcome to him, good player but not the difference between us being mid-table or pushing for promotion. Prefer Jackson as our captain and leader by a country mile.0
