It is indeed Len. A really good event but weather wise a bit of a nightmare to predict - I've done it bright sunny, hot conditions and freezing flipping cold like last year. This one looks like being a bit of a wet & wild time.LenGlover said:
Good luck!Bournemouth Addick said:Running the Great South on Sunday morning so really looking forward to strong winds right in the face for the last two miles. Not.
The Great South is 10 miles isn't it?
I always meant to do that one but never did.0 -
We've had a email from our director at work telling us to take our laptops when we leave tonight and be prepared to work at home on Monday...0

I just mentioned to my boss i wont be exiting the house in 80mph winds but he ignored me!!0

At the risk of sounding like Michael Fish I actually don't think it's going to be as bad as the picture being painted. After the last "hurricane" that wasn't supposed to happen but did I suspect the Met Office are covering themselves by saying this one will hit. The seaweed on my windowsill predicts squally showers and a few gusts strong enough to blow your dustbin over.0

I have 2 properties in London with scaffolding and temporary roofs on with metal sheet roofs and sheeted sides. If the winds get up to 80mph they could end up being blown down the road!
Squeeky bum time this weekend.0 -
I am hoping that we have a proper good un and my chimney comes down, as I want a new one 8)0

If it does happen the problems will be with the trees because they are still so full of leaves.0

My chimney stack was lost during the last "hurricane". Was a sodding nightmare to get it sorted as all the roofers and builders were too busy for weeks after and the insurance company too. My house is at the top of the hill in an exposed position. Squeaky bum time indeed.nth london addick said:I am hoping that we have a proper good un and my chimney comes down, as I want a new one 8)

Maybe if you have a tree near your hose you may want to consider a trim.0 -

I've bought the guinea pigs in just in case but the kids can stay in the garden ;-)0
-
Might just be not as bad as they said. I would have a few quid on less deaths (8 is the last one) compared with this, but where there is blame there is a claim so any death for a few days may be included in the figures.0

LOL, can't they shelter in the greenhouse?sadiejane1981 said:I've bought the guinea pigs in just in case but the kids can stay in the garden ;-)
