On Ben Haim, I think the bad blood was because he refused to take a pay cut when the club went into administration - and to be fair to him, he signed a long contract worth a lot of money, perhaps he leveraged his personal finance on that contract so couldn't afford the pay decrease? After all, it wasn't his fault the club was so poorly managed.
He was a good defender, and if he can find any of his old Bolton/Chelsea form form we could have a very good player on our hands at this level.2 -

Personally wouldn't mind Ben Haim, but i doubt we could afford his wages. He was a good defender once, not great but good and i would have thought could certainly do a job in the championship. I admit the bad blood between him and pompey about money is concerning, but that was a while ago.0

We could afford his wages because they would have to be paid anyway, as he is at SL.

Guy at work is a Pompey season ticket holder. Said he is a class player and that what he lacked in pace he made up for in confidence and use of his head. Held by some as an arsehole for not wanting to reduce his payment but he said at the end of the day if u sign a contract you are entitled to what you sign for so it's really not his fault. Sounded sort of promising to me anyway0

Decent champ signing. Slowly but surely we are starting to build a squad. Light years away from 12 months ago. Goals need to come from all over the park, not just up front, and if this is true he would provide that from the midfield.1

Don't know much about him but only about 26 games at our level and I think he got relegated.
Still, he is only 24 and has had a couple of good seasons with Coventry so maybe harsh to judge him on what he did as a teenager in struggling sides.
