  • 35/5 all broad! When he's good, broad can do this. Superb spell... Saffers in tatters :)
  • Broad

    1st five wickets

    5-14

    Terrific bowling
  • Finn in on the action now

    Effectively 35 for 6
  • This is a superb performance by the England bowlers
  • Broad took 5-1!

    Incredible performance.
  • Stokes now

    :-)
  • 67-8, lead by 57. Another wicket for Stokes.
  • Effectively 57 -8 - game could/should be all over by today!
  • Just a magnificent bowling display, loving this.

I could watch that time and time again
  • Bloody hell. After 2 tight days I wasn't expecting that!
  • 77-9 another wicket for Stokes.
  • 83 all out. Sixth wicket for Broad: c&b du Plessis.

    England need 74 to win.
  • Stuart Broad - what a man!
  • edited January 2016
Broad finishes with 6-17, including a spell of 5-1 in 31 balls.
  • We'll still bugger it up.......

    ........
  • 57-0, 16 overs

    Cook 32 (51)
    Hales 18 (45)

    17 to win.

  • Decision stands on umpire's call.

    64-1. Hales 18 (46) lbw Elgar
  • 68-2

    Compton 0 (2) c Morkel b Elgar.

Compton gets out playing the most un-Compton shot I've ever seen.
  • 71-3

    Cook 43 (70) c Vilas b Morris
  • Cook has overseen two Ashes wins, an away win in India and now an away win in South Africa, can recall too many Enlgand captains doing that in the past.
  • ENGLAND WIN BY 7 WICKETS

& win the series. 2-0 up with one game to play.

    77-3

    Root 7 (13)
    Taylor 2 (5)

Brilliant display and not a Belgian in sight, happy days.
  • Top stuff England. And I'm Scottish.
  • Broad took 5-1!

    Incredible performance.

And the 1 came from a dropped catch, so could have been 5-0 from 30 or fewer balls, incredible is an understatement!
  • Watched it all on TV. I said at the time and I still think so after the highlights the best wicket of them all was the ball from Stokes that bowled Morris.

What a perfect demonstration of skill and just technical ability. An 88mph ball that swung and then seamed in to him. Was just as class ball. What a talent that man is!
  • After watching the highlights - it just shows how much we have improved over past 12-18 months.
The middle order looks soooo promising (and young ) - with the likes of Root/Taylor/Stokes/Baristow and Ali being 4/5/6/7/8 for the best part of a decade based on the fact that they are all mid-twenties.
As i've mentioned before, all we need is...
    1) An opener with Cook - i'm hoping Vince will be the man to do that
    2) a No. 3 - really think Gary Ballance will come into his own and grab that spot over the next coule of years
    3) a Left-arm quick - hoping that Sam Curran will be the man(boy?) for that
    4) a leggie - and i'm confidnet that Mason Crane will be the one to do that.

Onwards and upwards for England in all formats - and looking forward to seeing how we perform in the 20/20's in SA and seeing if we can carry that forward into the World Cup - cant wait.
