Wasnt Steve Evans a professional 2 years ago?

Tricky little fleet footed winger if I recall correctly

    Ardley?

    No, Evans was certainly tricky.

Sheffield does seem a better choice for Wilder but even Colin said he'd signed an agreement with us so like it or not he turned us down.

He had the option of us or Utd and didn't go with us so he turned us down, it happens so it's not the end of the world but we didn't have a plan B and there's the rub.

And it doesn't matter to me how many other clubs don't have a manager as I'm a Charlton fan.

It's June and we need to yet again rebuild the entire squad but there is no one at the helm, no plan, no style of play or direction.

    We have direction........downwards.

From the info Doucher. I can see Slade with JJ as assistant, but Doucher said he's a pro footballer which rules out Slade? Unless it's JJ????

Doucher you are a tease, particularly so early in the morning. Anything else to add to your hints?

    Rules out Slade and Adkins.
I was only guessing. Didn't even realise Slade hadn't been a player.

Personally would prefer Adkins to get the nod but if ended up being Slade i wont be grumbling, i just hope its not that cheating fat turd Steve Evans.

Really would hate having Steve Evans in charge...

The bloke is a crook after what happened at Boston United... Almost as bad as having Malky Mackay!!

Would imagine he as accepted the post before he went away, and as already sorted out his backroom staff and even spoke to one or two players while he as been away so when he returns next they can get stuck into the job ......

The only person who I can think of who fits the profile is Darrell Clarke of Bristol Rovers.

It would however be a significant "U turn" by him as he only a matter of days ago supposedly rejected any Leeds United approach apparently due to their instability and reportedly "agreed" a new 3yr contract with Rovers.

Indeed it was reported Rovers had even refused Clarke permission to speak to Leeds.

In terms of age and up & coming profile he would fit in coaching terms the "investment" in youth criteria almost religiously embraced by this regime.

What about someone like Chris Todd (Wasn't he mentioned early in May?) from Eastleigh

    Ha ha! Doucher trumps Colin.
I quite like this guessing game. But there again it is chaotic Charlton. Who is daft enough to take us on?
The Plymouth manager has not been mentioned for a while but it is probably Slade. Poor sod.

No. But to check if you've caught it just look in the mirror. If you see a complete knob, you've got colin1961-itis.
