Source of the £3m story
"QPR are trying to find a deal for Jordan Cousins - but Charlton are determined to make sure that they get a fair price.
The South London Press had been told earlier in the summer that the Addicks wanted around £3million for their Player of the Year.
Not bad for a league 1 player who can't pass the ball (that is irony is case you hadn't noticed).
Also seems odd that JBG is £2m (RedHenry) or £2.5m (SLP) but Cousins is seen as more expensive even given that he is English. Both had similar time in Championship but JBG more attacking and a full international while both have long contracts. JBG 25 and JC 22.
At the end of the day a player is worth what someone will pay (see Nabby Sarr 1.4m euros)

£3m for Cousins is decent in my opinion, not a luxury player and does a lot of unnoticed work so was never going to go for mega money.2
-
I'd be happy with 3 mill for him.1
-
I agree but only if it's invested on new players .cafc_harry said:£3m for Cousins is decent in my opinion, not a luxury player and does a lot of unnoticed work so was never going to go for mega money.

If jbg and cousins plus one of lookman or watt are the only ones to leave, then I will be reasonably happy as long as we bring a couple more in1
-
Well nothing against Buxton but I think we have the answer to that.Bedsaddick said:

Hope not0

transfer fact .. Lee Martin .. loaned to Gills by Millwall .. does this mean Dack is going ?0
-
Probably, although Martin is more of a winger so I wouldn't say he's the replacement.0
-
QPR can afford 3m seeing as they offloaded Fer and Phillips this week for a combined 10m.1
-
£2m is about right for Cousins IMO. £3m and we've done very well.5

4:34 and Colin makes a post and no one has LOL it!!!!!! History in the making.
Who's got the "it's happening" GIF?0 -
I know I may get ridiculed for this... I honestly think Kashi is better than Cousins - Much better.
I know Kashi is 27 but if I wouldn't hesitate selling Cousins for 3m and keeping Kashi.12 -
Kashi has a bit of a dilemma as he would like to play higher level, but a team will have to brave to stump up a reasonable fee for a player who hasn't featured for a whole season. I can see him going out on loan, but that will depend if Cousins goes, as we will need to replace both. I'd be surprised if the club didn't expect both to be gone, and made other plans.0
-
Not ridiculed mate totally agree1
-
Kashi has played less than 10 games for us. I know he looked decent in most of them (although he was shite away at Blackburn) but too early to be passing proper judgement on him yet.8

I thought the only time fox looked half decent was when kashi played and covered for him0

It seems fashionable to underrate Cousins. He was superb for 2 seasons and last even he was player of the year, playing in a dreadful side . He's mobile, strong and moves the ball quickly, if lacking any great inventiveness . Can't believe either he or Kashi will stay0 -
Kashi is a good player, I don't expect to keep him. Expect he'll head back to lower Ligue 1 or upper Ligue 2 where he built a reputation.0

Don't forget the 50 shit managers and the crap players the Belgians brought. But yeah your right.colin1961 said:

Cousins has been our best player for the last two years and is still very young. 3mil is a snip.9
-
I said to myself I would always ignore you and skip past your posts Colin. My apologies will try not to do it again.0
-
Fuckin hell church has just come on for Wales, must be worth a fortune now3
-
If I was worth £500M+ and had any real ambition with the club I owned I would probably try to keep them both so I had a Championship competitive squad if promoted in the first season, and increased my chances of said promotion.CharltonByBlood said:I know I may get ridiculed for this... If Roly had sold up in January or not interfered so much we wouldn't have gone down either.colin1961 said:
