Saw Dean Brill when he was a youngster at Luton. Decent goalkeeper, a lot of the Luton Town fans felt he'd moved higher up (this was during their descent, they were in L1 at the time). He looked overweight and his distribution was poor. Going on pictures from last year, doesn't seem to be taking care of himself much better these days.0

Close...£350K...which is over 3 x what he was earning here. Not really anything he could do except take it while it was on offer. Good luck to him.Covered End said:
Pope expects to earn £500K pa or more I suspect. I bet he's gutted.cafc_harry said:Tom Heaton just signed a new 4 year deal at Burnley. Not sure when Pope expects to get a look in, what a waste.

I feel a bit like a scratched record, but WE haven't got a few quid THE NETWORK HAS and it depends whether RD is prepared to let us have a few Euros of it.Valley11 said:Don't like the idea of a keeper on loan.
Plus surely we've got a few quid now to sign one permanently.1 -
Thuram did well on loan....Valley11 said:

What the hell is the strategy this summer? It looked like there was a plan when Slade and then Novak, Holmes and Ajose arrived.
That's since gone out the window.
And no information on Ajose's injury. Is he a long term absentee or is it just a knock as barely reported?0 -

Apparently was a good pre-season tour to Austria says Russell Slade...
By the end of the trip there were so few players left we were all able to go out to the local restaurant and have a table of four within 5-minutes rather than waiting a few hours for someone to accommodate twenty players36 -
No mention of any deals in the pipeline0

Don't worry, there will be someone to step up.
Latrien is watching a U12 game today and is confident she now knows a good prospect when she sees one.
Our famed medical team have a load of body parts left over from past treatments, and have asked local mad scientist Eddie Frankenstein if we would mind working part time on a Thursday at Sparrows Lane.
Oh and RD, he was too busy gaffer taping his best pair of shoes up to answer my call.10 - Sponsored links:

Think Slade got a few Viennese Chocolates down the market for about £5?Valley11 said:No mention of any deals in the pipeline

Good job the squad is coming back. We've lost 5 players since they've been out there!4

Not exactly first day of the Somme casualties but bloody Hell...BigRedEvil said:Good job the squad is coming back. We've lost 5 players since they've been out there!

He was our only good player (other than maybe Song) in a dreadful season . We've said that about a few since thenValley11 said:

Not in body count, but in percentage terms it's possibly worse.soapy_jones said:

Dean Brill would be...errr Brilliant.ForeverAddickted said:Dean Brill only signed for Motherwell at the end of June
Reckon if we sign anyone it'll be between Simon Moore or Owein Fon Williams
But, yes you're right, either Williams or Moore2 -
Not surprising with the amount of work he had to do that season.Airman Brown said:

Tex will be next out on loan. Can't believe there won't be any interest in a loan arrangement even if we can't find a buyer.1

Can only hope it's a case of selling the valuable playing assets followed by selling the club.4
-
It's not. I'm sure of that. Cousins and JBG were always off and I think Pope was a bit of a surprise. Watt going on loan along with Sarr is costing money with no benefit. He's no intention of selling.charente addick said:Can only hope it's a case of selling the valuable playing assets followed by selling the club.

We're gonna be rich I tell ya, rich.2 -
Thread bare injured 11 with no squad depth at all, it's going to be a long long season.0
