Agree squad is too thin, agree regime track record is terrible, agree KM hasn't got a clue but......

Slade has recruited well so far on the face of it and he could do so again if allowed to.

I'm not optimistic but it's too early to make a final judgement IMHO

Let's see what the squad is v Bury and on 2 Sept. Then we'll see.

Failing that, those 4 seats from the museum can be used in our dugout for all our substitutes!

Although this makes sense, the last two and a half years is causing the nag stove and glass half empty views and comments. I reckon players are turning us down because of our owners reputation within the game

Could certainly do with ink drying on signatures for a decent goalie, centre back or two, winger or two....

If we make a two good signings a week between now and transfer window closing, we may be ok.

Where's this top six budget Katrien Meire?

Hmmm probably spent all at once on Ajose! ! £800,000 we think yes!? Could Sheffield Utd etc afford that? I'm not defending KM or RD by the way! Just saying!

Have Sheff Utd received circa 5 million in incoming fees? Not to mention the amount of wages freed up.

I'm with Henners on this one.

Although I'm now starting to feel worried there is still plenty of time left to get players in,

However, if we don't get another half a dozen in within the next few weeks then not only are we looking at another poor season but even looking at joining Pompy in League 2./

No we won't. Pompey will be coming up this year ;).

It's terrible design that the transfer window doesn't close until around a month after the season starts, especially in a year with two senior international tournaments, one end mid-July, and players putting off moves until the end of the tournament or following their holidays. There's still around six weeks of the window left, which is technically how long it's been open. In general I hate the brinksmanship of the last day(s) of the window, but it's also particularly galling given that clubs could start August and September with entirely different teams.

Think we all agree we need more new blood - but 2 a week, for the remainder of the transfer window, would be about another 12. Might be excessive.

I originally wrote 1 to 2 a week than thought the window closed in 3 weeks so upped it.

I see now, having looked it up, it's end August lock down.

Exactly six weeks from today is 31 August.

We will have played 5 league games by then.

Does the CEO realise that no matter how far down the leagues she takes us, there is no point that we get relegated into a 5-a-side league?

Dean Brill only signed for Motherwell at the end of June

Reckon if we sign anyone it'll be between Simon Moore or Owein Fon Williams

    Dean Brill would be...errr Brilliant.

But, yes you're right, either Williams or Moore
F*** Ricky that was soooo poor.

Why are we worried about the players that are leaving , they are the ones that got us relegated

From my point of view I'm keeping my powder dry and waiting to see what transpires. I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned with the size of the squad and seeing people leaving with little activity inbound, but I'll not condemn yet.
RS and the squad have just returned from Austria, I guess he will now start to look at getting recruits in. If come the Bury game we are not much further on then my concerns will be rising substantially, if come Aug 31 we are still scrabbling around and results have not been great or even good, then my powder will no longer be dry and i will wholeheartedly condemn the hopeless ones. However we have 6 weeks in total, lets just see what, if anything, unfolds.

Why are we worried about the players that are leaving , they are the ones that got us relegated

Because we aren't replacing them!! We had a small squad last year and now it's getting worrying.

Do you have any relatives named Colin?

Because they haven't yet been replaced and the season starts in little over two weeks.

Some of them were good enough but needed a good manager and a better squad alongside them.

Why are you not optimistic? I'm sure it is the same reason I am not either. The answer to that says all that needs to be said.

They probably told pinnochio they would sort us out with a loan as part of the Cousins deal, you see she's not as stupid as she looks, (she couldn't be). Matt Ingram drew the short straw.

Stay where? He was talking about staying in at the Brighton hotel room they're sharing while they wait for their double transfer to be finalised.

Paddy wanted a night out on the town but Tex was feeling a bit lonely and wanted to stay in to catch up on Hollyoaks.
