Division four I'm thinking.Lewis Coaches said:To anyone that attended todays game, could you compare RKC Waalwijk to division one,two or Championship team.......just out of interest.
To be in the bottom two last year of Dutch division two suggests they are no Ajax.1 -

Quite liked the sound of that. Slade comes across a bit swan-like, calm, smooth on the surface and paddling like crazy under the surface getting the real business done. just as any good manager should be. I'm starting to feel a bit more reassured after all the doom and gloom that's been on this site in the past week. Roll on next week and Bury away.vff said:https://audioboom.com/boos/4878958-listen-cafc-russell-slade-has-an-ambitious-target-of-making-five-more-signings

TBF, he's probably seen him play and thought he's that good he will be sold so there's no point in knowing his name.Major said:
TBF, I don't think our Russell understood Louis's correct pronunciation of the name. He probably calls him Texxerra. (Not a knock, just saying)Bedsaddick said:"We have to value the basics" What does that mean ?. Our Russell does like his meaningless soundbites.
As for Teixera , I don't even think he knew who Louis was talking about. Very strange.0 -
We went to the game, realisation that not attending in Saturdays when we can not going to work.
Crofts looked very defensive and not that good.
Holmes looked like a really good player when he came on in the second half.
Ajose hardly touched the ball bit this may have been because he and Holmes didn't play together and he got no service in the first half.
Fox looked pretty sound.
Johnson wandered around, swore at a lot of people without doing a great job and missed a decent headed effort. At which point I had to shout 'if only your heading was as good as your swearing mate' which went down ok with the crowd but less well with Roge.
Meire was there for most of the game although didn't seem to be watching it when I glanced over. She say on her own a couple of rows down from Tony K who was in club tie.
Overall a pretty poor game.
Solly looked good. Moving better than I have see. Him for a while and some great touches. Lost the ball a couple of times but won it back immediately with some pretty tough but very sharp challenges.
Lot of kids out there. Most did ok today.3 -

Just thinking, have we had a lower crowd than 1,626 for any fixture including friendlies since we came back to The Valley in Dec 5th 1992? Possibly in the Anglo Italian Cup maybe.0

really fed up now. Squad is thinner than last year and only needs 2 or 3 injuries & we wont even be able to cover the bench. The team is only going in one direction.....downwards. Not saying we are getting relegated but certainly wont be in the top half of the table & certainly not top 6 !!!

Charlton had some low league finishes in the third division South in the 1920's finishing 21st in 1925/26 season. Charlton were promoted as champions in the 1928/29 season.
Charlton Finished 14th in division 3 in 1973/74 and 13th in the 2010/11 season in League One.
With the inevitable injuries, loss of form and suspensions (similar to last season - no need for a crystal ball), and lack of creativity on the pitch in centre midfield, this could very easily be the worst season finish since the 1928/29 season. It could easily push that season with a couple of long term injuries to key players.
Those 5 or 6 players better turn up soon, as it stands, it is not looking good.0 - Sponsored links:

Using The Valley site for housing while CAFC play in front of a few thousand in a lower league on a shared ground.1
