Just seen the highlights on 5. JFC looks like he's gonna be the difference now. Top class and tenacity for the winning goal, great delivery for the first. We've all known something was missing in the midfield. Hope this lad is the answer.
I was there today. When we went down to 10 I believed it was game over. Few lads stood behind me talking about leaving and going back to the pub. Personally I feel like we played really well all game and deserved the result we got, we worked our socks off defensively. Tony Watt is a hell of a player, if only he hadn't picked up a booking we could've left him on all game and I feel won more comfortably.
Sorry to go all Karl Robinson and post a rant but I had a great day today, even met JJ.

No bloody need for that trying to get your fellow professionals booked / sent off, leave that to the fans if anyone to try and influence the ref who knows what he's doing without your help!!
Another draw today, we then kick on again in February I see why the 2 lols from the match thread, I should of predicted the win and continue the kick on in February

This. I hate what Roland Duchatelet and Katrien Meire are doing to my club but for today, f*ck them, enjoy it. It was a great feeling today watching our boys fight for that win and forgetting about the ownership for 90 minutes. We'll win that war and enjoy that feeling again. COYR.
Our best 3 points this season. We seem to do well against the better sides this season which is really confusing considering some of the dismal performances we've turned out against sides in the bottom half.

I can understand those who have been so distanced by the regime from the team that they can't get much of a kick from this, but I don't share the feeling. That was a fantastic win, against a very good promotion chasing Bolton, and with ten men we turned the game around and closed it out. How many of those have we had? Tony Watt starts to sound as if he could do a job for us, the new signings are clicking in, the midfield finally begins to have a shape and the defence (minus our mate RoJo) looks relatively solid. Long way to go, but I have had a huge smile on my face all evening - thanks to Karl and the boys.
Hats off to the doughty 466, as well as to Robinson who has received a lot of stick here over the last few weeks. I'm hoping he'll get a real good run and a summer transfer window, promotion or no promotion. Continuity is one of the many things we've been missing these last few years.

I accept that we beat a shockingly poor Port Vale 2-0 when they were 6th, but it's no surprise to me that they are now 18th.

I'm not really too concerned about what we've done earlier in the season under Slade. Generally under Robinson things are looking up, Roland's miserliness notwithstanding.
I've said all along that the playoffs were a realistic target, and this result highlights it. Getting this sort of narrow win is what we've been bad at this season, with too many draws. A few more such victories and we'll be right up there
Bauer does seem to have a weakness in judging high punts up the pitch, against Millwall we also got caught out in a similar way. Something to practice on the training ground...
On your second point, Robinson has got the defense playing a higher line. A risk of that is the ball over the top. Not sure Bauer/Tex/Pearce have the pace to deal with it. Konsa does but can't see him playing CB much.
Taking the family with me to Bolton to celebrate my birthday on a cold rainy January afternoon felt like a bit of a risk, but it was a truly brilliant 90 minutes. Really expected a thrashing at 1-0 down with ten men but the spirit of the players and the supporters really made a difference. The reaction of the supporters to start singing Valley Floyd Road immediately after the sending off and going one down felt so important. KR ushering the players in at half time as quick as possible really showed a determination to win the match. Every player put in so much, so good to see some passion and fight in the team.

I understand Robinson getting some stick, but not to the extent that people seem to actively strongly dislike him. His personality and methods may rub people the wrong way, but I don't believe that he is in any way disingenuous in his enthusiasm. I was very skeptical of him when he was appointed, but his coaching and tactics, and signings have won me over. And I find the way he comes across in interviews as quite wonky in a very endearing way, and it's clear he has taken to the club.
We've taken 11 points from the last available 15, unbeaten in five. That's 2.2 points/game. That kind of form should easily see us into the play-off spots. And that's come during a stretch where we had a lot of players out injured or returning from injury, where we've sold our best player and a club stalwart, had a 20 year old make his full debut and become an increasingly important member of the team, and had an 18 year old play in three different positions and look class in at least two of them (Konsa--RB, CM, CB).
Disappointed to have missed this one but really pleased for those who did make the trip. There's nothing like a win on the road and against the odds after the red card & resulting goal.
We have 6 games in 25 days during February which would have been 7 if Oxford had been knocked out of the Cup today.
That's a tough programme for any club, let alone one with not the biggest squad and with their main striker out injured.
I've admitted that I'm on the fence regarding our gaffer and won't change my opinion based on one match regardless of the quality of the performance. However, based on what I heard today via Player and from the Lifers in attendance, KFC could be the star purchase of the current window and our missing link, so well done KR.
But if the team spirit and will to win from EVERYONE wearing the red shirt is replicated next Saturday, then I'll be the first to commend him for the manner in which he's turned a somewhat dispirited group of players into one that believes in itself.
And if he IS the man that helps change TWWW from a frog into a princely forward, he deserves all the praise coming his way.

Just glad he was up for the fight and didn't chicken out. He could really flesh out our attack.
Result that's lifted the fans and will give the players some belief. We've been pretty shitty at times this season and slowly, slowly Robinson looks to be turning it around. Let's get our best 11 fit and firing and see where it leads. I suspect we just have too much to do but you never can tell.
Winning still gives me a warm glow.
I believe that there are exercises that can help with that, otherwise, I can only suggest reducing fluid intake....
