Phew... Saw this title earlier and was worried he'd had a mare0

Just have to say what a huge compliment it is that Gary Neville was the one who saw his performance at RB and decided it was the best of anyone on the pitch.
Very impressive considering Neville was the country's #1 right back for a number of years and is now well known for his in depth tactical punditry and not being afraid to criticise a bad performance when he sees one.12 -
Guess it was because it was 0-0 yet its a shame that MoTD can never be arsed to concentrate on good defensive work when picking highlights and mainly cover the attacking side.
i.e. Everywhere says Gomez was MoTM yet watching the highlights you barely saw him involved0 -
Those stats are a waste of space though aren't they? (Not saying the performance was.) For example, "3 tackles won" means nothing if the missing stat says "15 tackles lost".0

United's scummy fans in "no nothing about anything" shock.Callumcafc said:3 -
Looks like he’s finally going to get a go at centre back this weekend.2

He's easily their best centre back .cafc_harry said:Looks like he’s finally going to get a go at centre back this weekend.

Now is his chance. He has to grab this opportunity with both hands - the pressure will be on, I really hope he does well3

Will Roland get any add-ons if he were to appear?
Wonder if this is why he's been stalling for the Takeover to happen0 -
Overdue. Well deserved. He'll be a regular if he stays fit.4

Been saying to people that Gomez and Stones will be our partnership in Russia - having seen Cahill on Tuesday I hope that's the case more than ever4
-
Been saying this myself... think it could be the Centre-Back partnership for years to come.kinveachyaddick said:Been saying to people that Gomez and Stones will be our partnership in Russia
Both know how to play the ball, both are quick... Provided they can be accurate (dont see why not on showing) be a lot better than hoofing it up field and watching it come straight back when we play the likes of Germany / France etc.0 -
We will be playing 3 at the back in Russia and one of those if fit will be Jones.0

As i said at the begining of the season, he will probably never get back to the player he was after those injuries. LolRedrobo said:Well done Joe.

I think we had a sell on for another player and that only triggered for competitive internationals.0
