It’s not my opinion it’s where we are now based on info supplied by people that know
yes there’s talks yes there has been DD yes we hit a snag and yes people are still talking but they are a long way away as I said three weeks ago about changing the imminent
Lookie He may well have played a game In how he put his info out and yes it’s a lot of look at me but he is right nothing is imminent and nothing is progressing along at a rate of knots
You get to the point where the posturing stops RD was in control of that so someone was prepared to walk away
Now RD is no longer in control of that and now the other person is holding more cards in their favour
But there has been a lot of stretching out of info not lying and not bullshit but there’s been things posted here that are stretching the facts to suit a better story

If I may run with what you have posted, the implication is that the potential purchasers have the power at the moment.nth london addick said:It’s not my opinion it’s where we are now based on info supplied by people that know

However for both parties in the words of the poem 'But at my back I always hear. Time's wingèd chariot hurrying near'.
On the one hand there are more losses, on the other the transfer window and the desire to make an early start on it.
We will see what happens, but I can't see Duchatelet having an appetite to support Robinson adequately if he ends up staying.2 -
I believe Doucher told us there was no due diligence. You say there has been. That is quite a substantial difference, I would say, and not one of interpretation.nth london addick said:It’s not my opinion it’s where we are now based on info supplied by people that know

If you get through to about 21 mins into Robinson's pre match he opines pretty forcibly that if there were new owners he would be gone.
Personally I believe that would be a mistake if it happened now. If new owners come in soon, they should initially definitely back him and not sack him.
Robinson has worked hard in, err, circumstances, to build this platform, and for that I give him credit.
Anyway i am sick of so much managerial change.22 -
Airman you know this as well as anyone else, its football, people will say what is in their interest to say, from both sides. Sadly we wouldn't really expect anything else.Airman Brown said:

I wrote to FIFA and didn't even get an acknowledgement. The Red Robin said:I don't know how that Batishuyi deal hasn't been investigated for third party ownership..

Really wouldn't want Robbo to go if we got new owners. More than deserves a chance for the work he's done building the club back up considering how low everything felt before he turned up20

They were probably too busy counting the money they were bunged to hush it up.harveys_gardener said:

i have never said he was not looking to sell and my understanding is that due diligence has not happenedAirman Brown said:

Jesus, this is getting so tiresome. Some of you with 'contacts' have posted what you have heard. One or more of you have heard that there has been due diligence completed/ongoing. One or more of you have posted that you have heard due diligence hasn't happened.
None of you know for sure what is going on as you are all reliant on what people 'closer to the action' are telling you and second hand information always has potential to be misleading, deliberately or otherwise.
I thank those of you who can for sharing what you have heard, and elaborating where possible on how reliable you think the info is, but do you have to keep coming on here to argue with each other who is right? It's petty and doesn't really add anything.22 -
agreed - close thread, its been a waste of time since it was opened7

Probably 2+2=5 but in that interview, does Robbo suggest he knows who the new owners could be and that they will want their own man/take the club in a different direction (Australian feeder club)?:
Robinson said: “I’d be gone – that’s the way it is. They [new owners] have their own ideas.”
He more likely means new owners in general want their own man/have their own ideas. But you never know.0 -
I'd be disappointed if Karl gets the boot by the new owners but at the same time I'd be prepared to back them with their plan. Unfortunately, I backed Roland after he sacked Powell as I backed his his ideas and made a massive error by doing that so hopefully this will be different.2
-
No the thread is fine - it's interesting to hear what people with contacts have heard and there have been some good lols on here.DOUCHER said:agreed - close thread, its been a waste of time since it was opened
What's a waste of time is you and Airman keeping coming on here to repeat the same points over and over again in contradiction to each other. We get it... you've both heard different things.23 -

So, he would rather piss off some protesters than get promoted and make money?
Yeah right,0 -
He can't know this for sure, unless he's already had a chat with them & they have indicated that they would want a "new broom". We all know that new owners like to bring in their own man, but KR doesn't know this for sure unless he has had some indication of their intentions.Valley11 said:Probably 2+2=5 but in that interview, does Robbo suggest he knows who the new owners could be and that they will want their own man/take the club in a different direction (Australian feeder club)?:

I'm in DD right now. Target said £Xm 9 months ago. Then it was half X. Now it's 1/4 X and we're closing. Rich people believe their own press until each set of financial results prove otherwise.
When push comes to shove, RD will sell as he knows his business model doesn't work. He just can't admit it in public.
Trust me. It's sold before the end of the season.6 -
No reason to think it isn’t tomorrow
Or another day3 -
I doubt there was any third party ownership. Roly sold Standard, but I think part of the deal was that owed him a ton of money. All the deal needs to say is that he gets some amount of any player sales as debt repayment and it all above boardharveys_gardener said:

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the stumbling block of identifying a suitable, post -takeover, role for Ms Nightmeire has now been overcome as she has been linked with the role of President Trump's new middle-east peace envoy.18

All any of us can do really - and all journalists do in general incidentally - is pull together the elements of a story that are available to them and try to understand the position from what they have, while trying to get more to understand it better.nth london addick said:It’s not my opinion it’s where we are now based on info supplied by people that know

What you describe as “stretching the facts” is really no more than the consequence of not having all the pieces of the jigsaw, which is hardly surprising in a situation of this kind.
If it’s “a bettter story” than the reality in this case that is likely to be because it’s what its authors want to believe rather than any intent to mislead people. It’s the subjective nature of judgement.
I get the argument which says if you don’t know everything then don’t say anything, but also dismiss it as an unrealistic one, especially when dealing with football and the nature of modern media and the internet. Nobody ever knows everything, including the principals.
In any event you can’t honestly be involved in a campaign and not share information that impacts on its outcome and what friends and allies are doing.
I have always had multiple unconnected sources on this, which taken with their provenance is why I have been prepared to go out on a limb with it.
People in the mainstream media have long had some of it. Not enough for them to run it, but enough for them to discount and ignore the club’s off the record denials.
The only thing I regret doing in relation to information I’ve disclosed is giving too much weight in October to one source who told me a takeover was imminent. But given who the source was and their connections it seemed highly likely to be solid information, and I also have no doubt they believed it was.
Regardless, we are a long way from where we were when that broke, just in terms of the public remarks of Duchatelet and Robinson, never mind the details that you and I both believe to be facts. This is how these things play out in football.58 -

Given the recent revelations by Douchebag re open to offers.
Presumably we/it are not a big enough story for the media to try and sniff out more information or would/could they be gagged with an NDA?0
