Congratulations Ademola Lookman

He should really enjoy it out there with that type of Defending which is probably slightly slower than the Premier League0

Everton fans on twitter are absolutely fuming at Allardyce28

They shouldnt be tho.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Everton fans on twitter are absolutely fuming at Allardyce
It was Lookman's choice to go
Allardyce tried to stop him.15 -
Correct me if wrong but surely he's the next Dodoo?
Charlton debut = goal

Fuming at letting him go out on loan instead of giving him a run in the side.paulie8290 said:

Allardyce only tried to stop him going to Leipzig because he wanted to send him to Derby.14 -
Well done, Ade! Really hope he flourishes there.5

Allardyce has had ample opportunities to play Lookman. Some games he hasn’t even made the squad. He’s now joined a side better than Everton and scored the winner.paulie8290 said:

Ade is the first English player to score in the Bundesliga since Owen Hargreaves back in 2005.
I wonder who at Everton was the one to spread the rumour that he was homesick up north?18 -
All feel like reasonable, well-put thoughts.Chris_from_Sidcup said:6 -
Allardyce asked if he could've done with Lookman today: "No.... if you could've put him out there today he couldn't have made us any better because the whole team was crap."
We now see why Sam let Ade go - he is protecting him and doesn't want him to suffer by being part of a "crap" team!
On the other hand, if you played Ade your team might not be quite so "crap". And we aren't fooled by you wanting to send the lad to Derby. Scoring in the Championship isn't quite the same as doing so in the Bundesliga and Ade doing so would not have caused the same outburst that tonight's goal has from the Everton fans.10 -
Won me about a fiver today, only put £2 on him should’ve put more.1
-
Wonder if and how much sell on fee we have for him? If he nails it at red bull he could be worth a fortune.0
-
Take that Big Sam ! And while you're at it, tone done the self-justificatory claptrap which could also be construed as an attempt to denigrate the judgment of a fine young player.
I'm delighted to hear that Ade is being "stubborn" about choosing the Bundeslega over the Championship (a league in which he has already proved himself). For me, that shows a degree of intelligence and discrimination which is rare in most young footballers.17 -

Terrific goal.
From the moment he collects the ball, he is quick, direct and decisive.
Pure quality. And he used to play for Charlton in the Third Division.

Odds on Lookman in the World Cup squad?7

Angry Sam Allardyce insists Ademola Lookman would have made no difference to a “pathetic” Everton performance against Arsenal.
“I've got Yannick Bolasie who cost thirty million quid and Theo Walcott who cost twenty million quid and both have a lot more experience than Lookman, so no."
Sam knowing the price of his players but not their value.16 -
Very long shot I reckonCallumcafc said:Odds on Lookman in the World Cup squad?
Plenty of wingers ahead of him0 -
It was more the comparison to Dodoo I was objecting to.ForeverAddickted said:

Oh that was just sarcasm i.e. the fact they both seem to score on their debuts at clubsExiled_Addick said:

Value means squat... Kermorgant cost nothing and Polish Pete cost £700k - Of course Sam if money isnt involved your not interested are youAddick Addict said:Angry Sam Allardyce insists Ademola Lookman would have made no difference to a “pathetic” Everton performance against Arsenal.

Brave move by lukman not enough English talent goes abroad. Derby would have been a very easy option but to go out there score on your debut he may just make people sit up and take note.3

Quality footballer, too good for Allardyce. He's had a lucky escape.4

I've only just seen it, been putzing around the house doing housework all day.Callumcafc said:Well done Ade. I know he joined us late but very proud as a Charlton fan.
Absolutely beaming for him. What a finish. Reminds me of his goal against Rotherham in the Championship.4
