There is middle eastern money behind the takeover

    How?
    From my source
So Aussie consortium involved with Middle East money, or no Aussies at all and just Middle East money?

Bloody hell, the theories and rumours on here- some of which seemed to have been plucked out of thin air or created by The Mail or Sun editorial staff- are driving me bonkers! I know we all like to speculate and have a gossip (that's what the forum is all about) but PLEASE, I can't take much more of this speculation! How about don't post unless you know FOR CERTAIN!!

This thread will implode shortly, so if you've got a theory, now is the time to chuck it in the mix.
I heard that Muir is an American Arab.

With our luck, the middle east as far as Charlton are concerned will be Norwich or Skegness.

    22.3.18 Summary

It's been another quiet week in Takeover Land.

Karl Robinson claimed that the takeover was up in air after the defeat to Blackpool although how much that was about diverting attention away from the dismal performance and how much was new information is open to debate.

CARD responding to this and the lack of further information from Richard Murray or Duchatelet by calling for protests from the Rotherham game onward, in both SE7 and Belgium.

@Redhenry had stated that the very rich party he is aware of is still very much in the game.

One comment, believed to be referring Redhenry's party, stated "The deal is mega, chairman already in place"

@Airman Brown mentioned Australians and "Arabs" as being the two parties involved in an article for Talksport.

Richard Cawley has said on Talksport that a takeover is "not far off" but isn't saying who or when.

@Redhenry and @Airman Brown both believe it to be very close with Airman saying that the "intention is Monday" (26/3) and @Redhenry saying it's not "his lot" which suggests it's the Aussies.

Paul Elliot mentioned as new Chairman.

    Meanwhile,

Karl Robinson was allowed to leave by mutual consent after revealing that he has twice tried to resign. He is expected to join Oxford United.

Lee Bowyer, assisted by Johnnie Jackson, has been placed in charge of the team.

thanks @DOUCHER , will add to the bite size

    A Belgian owner could work.
    I deliberately avoided that reference!!

  • So they were from Saudi Arabia then...
  • I'm sorry but why Kewell? Just because he's an Aussie?

Whilst I do not want to put a dampener on any of this when the excitement level goes up on here everyone bangs on about "rich owners" and "having lots of money" as being the bench mark.

We already have one of those however he does not like to spend it.

The criteria for me is a sensible owner who has a track record of investing when he does purchase a sporting business not one that has it all in the bank and likes to keep it there.

Think it through, mate. He speaks the language, so it will help with communication between board and management.

Does this mean we have no hope of getting rid of Fosters at the bars in the North Upper then?
