Yeah I s'pose for some it would be... For me I dont mind evening games despite being knackered the next daystackitsteve said:Away game on a Sunday afternoon is easier (work wise, maybe not trains etc) than a Wednesday night.
Regardless though doesn't matter if we're in the (A) or (B) Semi-Finals, we'll playing a weeknight0 -
We're not getting top 4 so the Valley would be hosting a Thursday night or early Saturday game if we were to make the top 6.0
-
Yeah, knackered the next day is ok, I was thinking more having to take time off work to get to the away game on a Wednesday.
The Valley on a Thursday night, then away on the Sunday
imo better than
The Valley on a Saturday and away on a Wednesday2 -
If we got Shrewsbury away for example on a weds night any trains less than £100 one way are 13.15 departures0
-
I posted this on a different thread but Rotherham ground is being used for the under 17s European championshnip. They have a quarter final match taking place at 2pm on Sunday 13th May.

If it’s Shrewsbury we must have to be on the Thursday/Sunday matches.

I do love the optimism on this thread4

It's all your fault for doing the match day thread so well.ross1 said:I do love the optimism on this thread
Please don't stop by the way.
Win tonight and we will all be more positive.

Thank you blackpool72 for the compliment, I assume you are talking about Blackburn tonight and agree1

Funny that both Blackburn and Burnley are at home tonight. 15 miles apart. I suppose Lancashire Police must have plenty of spare bobbies to go roundeaststandmike said:I take it we are all Blackburn fans tonight? Blackburn at home to Peterborough.

Not even going to think about it. Don't want to jinx it. Have plenty of time whilst driving back from Rochdale if it happens.BR7_addick said:

Lee Bowyer on Saturday’s atmosphere at Portsmouth, injuries, Johnnie Jackson and our final three

15 miles as the crow flies is quite a distance. I am sure a lot of London clubs within 15 miles of each other play at home on the same day.golfaddick said:

Posh seem to be one of them teams that can lose at home to a bury one day then beat Blackburn away the next. Bit like us really.0

A draw would be the best result but I'd prefer a Peterborough win. They would still be a point behind us & we really need to win out last 3 games in any case imo, so they wont be able to catch us. Also it would give them extra impetus when they play Pompey - if they lose tonight I reckon they will be out of it & so wont have much to play for.1

A Blackburn win would be better... If they get promoted before their trip to the Valley, that game will matter less to themgolfaddick said:A draw would be the best result but I'd prefer a Peterborough win. I can see the logic but if we beat Pompey this weekend they are five points behind with only two games left. We shouldn't be worrying about either them or Peterborough if we win on Saturday.golfaddick said:A draw would be the best result but I'd prefer a Peterborough win. The way I see it, we need a winner for Blackburn. A draw doesn't really do us any favours either way.1 -
A blackburn win puts Posh out of it.2
-
And a win for us on Saturday would put Pompey out of it. Those two results would make the Pompey Peterboro match on the last day of the season irrelevant.MuttleyCAFC said:A blackburn win puts Posh out of it.

Too many connotations!!! Blackburn win then Posh are out of it, but then Shrews pretty much out of autos so less reason for them to play for and i'm fairly sure they have a few of our rivals left to play as well... Plus Blackburn stay in the title hunt for us
Posh win and Blackburn are more out of the title race and be on their hols when they play us.
Draw may be best of both worlds.0 -
but no less likely that the Sky cameras will be there as they have a love-in for Pompey.Callumcafc said:
