Post Match Views: Charlton v Accrington: 19 January 2019.

I was in family stand sort of behind the Lino with a “birds eye view” and shouted penalty but in reality I’d have been fuming if it was the other way , I don’t think you can expect players to have their arms glued to their body as they’re looking for balance and to push one way or the other as players run at them but we’ll take it .
Stanley clearly have a few proper helmets playing for them but I don’t know if some expect a team prollly with a budget less than half or more than that of ours to play like Brazil against us .
They’re gonna have to mix it up to try and beat clearly better footballing teams .
We had a little bit of pressure today but their keeper made one save of note I thought whilst Philips first save was a certain goal stopped with his Peter Schmeicel style block from just a few yards out and another spectacular tip over second half .
As for the sending off I couldn’t really see because I was sitting down as everyone else jumped up .
I knew immediately the ref was gonna blow up against Lyle after having a word previously .
In the build up to that corner Lyles hand off was ridiculous and make no mistake if all these incidents had happened the other way round the tear drops from our fans on here would be endless .
Everyone saying this bloke that bloke should have been sent off , in reality during real time without having looked at the replays who in all honesty on here could have called what happened in that melee , it was carnage .
Karlan Grant , wow , I am one of his biggest doubters and I really didn’t fancy him to score that pen after the two previous not so convincing efforts but he struck that so cleanly under that amount of pressure , it was brilliant.
Then the celebrations , we had a personality , boys on the pitch I love it , all clubs apart from dull old us do that and it was brilliant to see , although I understand it may not be everyone’s cup of tea .
It was my eldest sons 13th and he had a shout out at half time that I actually didn’t hear cos was too busy handing cakes out to friends and family (boycotts broken by a few of my family cos Kids For A Quid and to see my son , although I was disgusted at the fucking purchasing of food and beverages by them !! )
And he was buzzing his nuts off with the late winner and said it was the best birthday present .

Anyway being a miserable fucker let’s end on a sour note , saw a few bottles being lobbed on/towards the pitch , proper muggy behaviour and I understand everyone’s got the hump but we’d been given a penalty ffs when one bottle was thrown on .
Leave that cuntishness to our neighbours down the road .

Anyway a celebratory Pizza Express finished off a fine day and has reignited my IBS at 4.30am
