Just watched it back. Never a penalty! Shocking decision tbf.

Why do you think no penalty?
    Too close IMHO
I always say it's a pen if the oppo player stop the ball going to another player. If his arm wasn't in the way the ball would have either been on target or gone to a team mate. It's one we don't usually get but imo was the correct decision.

Also surprised the other incident that got my goat hasn't been mentioned......the injured player who after been treated by their physio didn't go off the pitch !! Ref was a complete numpty.

As for the rest of the game. Turgid. No real attacking threat apart from Taylor in the 15 mins before he was sent off. LB has the sending off & the penalty to save him from getting pelters this evening. Shocking performance all round.

That’s good, absolutely no chance that Taylor’s and their GK won’t have their red cards overturned

Learn the (newish) rules @golfaddick- if a player requires treatment after a FOUL, he no longer has to leave the pitch.

This forum would be in absolute meltdown if such a soft decision had been given against us. There is no way the accy player deliberately handled the ball.

Meh. We won. Everything else doesn’t matter a jot.

And we’re a few points off first place! How many points were we behind Pompey 10 weeks ago? We’re the best team in this league-we just need to keep it rolling.....

Great clear footage of the penalty incident, Callum.

I've watched it in slo-mo and froze it at various points ..... as Reeves prepares to shoot, the Stanley defender has his arm down low by his side.

Freeze the frame immediately after Reeves shoots, the arm has moved higher.

Freeze at the moment of contact with the ball, the arm is higher still.

IMO it's quite clear that the arm is moving, and the correct decision is hand to ball - penalty.

When did that rule come in ?? Not seen a player this season NOT have to go off after being treated.......and if you are injured & need treatment it is usually because you have been fouled.

Rubbish. He had his arm up in the penalty area and it got in the way of an attacking pass/ shot. Penalty every day.

    Doesn’t have to be deliberate.

Surprised nobody has singled Bielik out for special praise in the brawl. Went charging in to aid Taylor, knocking a few around in the process. Think he realised he might have overstepped the mark so retreated to the halfway line rather sheepishly

And his arm was moving when in contact with the ball, so should be a clear case of hand to ball - penalty.

Prior to the sending off and the holding up of the corner for jostling involving Taylor and Maxted, I said to the people around me Taylor has got to keep out of the way, course he didn't and then was sent off 30 seconds later, I don't agree with either sending off but sometimes you have to use common sense.

Not even nearly as soft as the pen Peterborough won against us!

See you tomorrow! Looking forward to it!

The penalty was a clear handball.

Blimey what a contrasting afternoon from a very civilised pre match Q&A with their gent of an owner to a mass brawl. Shouted myself hoarse - meant to be on Charlton Live show tomorrow so better keep quiet this evening to make sure I have a voice. Can't call us Southern Softies after that.

Penalty, without doubt. Loved that never celebrated a goal like that against such a team as Accrington. Brilliant day great results for us

I can't believe how many people on here think it was obvious. It was obviously not. How can you take your arm away from the ball when it is smacked at you from 4 yards away?

I'm obviously delighted that we won, but you would be absolutely fuming if you were you a Stanley fan.

He is in the box with his hands in the air and the shot is on target I don’t know how more obvious you can get! You block a shot like that with your arms to your sides! He may have only been 4 yards away but it wasn’t a shot out of nowhere he was shaping to shoot all along and the defender knew this!

Just seen it again....looked harsh penalty but just deserts for them. Not sure what game their management saw in that video, nasty team.

Solly deserves a lot of credit for sprinting over and shielding the lino after their players absolutely went for him. Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned.

If you look at the footage of the celebrations directly after KG scores a certain someone comes onto the pitch out of the NW Quadrant.....a very big fella with a bald head.
    Can it be.....surely not?

where have you got that from? this is still in the 2018/19 laws of the game 'An injured player may not be treated on the field of play and may only re-enter after play has restarted' http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-5---the-referee

I saw this clearly - the Accy players behaviour towards the lino was pretty awful.
The ref failed to take action.

Exceptions to the requirement to leave the field of play are only when:

a player is injured as the result of a physical offence for which the opponent is cautioned or sent off (e.g. reckless or serious foul challenge), if the assessment/treatment is completed quickly
